Aigoo, MHL skipped Hawaii and lost three CME spots, now at #59. 🥶
Yu Jin Sung at #79 is close to blowing a free ticket for 2025 if she falls out of the top-80 (although there would be precious few events that she couldn't get into if she finished at #81).
Yuri moved up 32 spots to #100 ... if she stays in the top-100 after this week, should she skip Q-Series? It used to be easy to find the current priority list on the "old" LPGA website ... now I don't know where the hell it is.
There was no Monday qualifier for this one.

Not to get political, but between Yealimis run in Asia and A Lims win last week, it's time to "Make the Sisters Great Again". Who will step up this week?

My field rating for this tournament is a solid 63%, up from 62.5% last year. My breakdown is 68% from the LPGA Priority List and 58% from the Rolex Rankings. Seven of the top ten players in the world will be teeing it up this week: Nelly Korda (1) Ruoning Yin (2) Lilia Vu (3) Lydia Ko (4) Hannah Green (5) Haeran Ryu (6) Celine Boutier (8) Top ten players skipping the event this week: Jeeno Thitikul (7) Ayaka Furue (9) Jin Young Ko (10)
Defending Champion: Lilia Vu Other Champions of this event in the field this week: Nelly Korda (2021, 2022) Sei Young Kim (2020)
Other Stuff: A Lim Kim's win at the Lotte Championship was the third win by a Korean player this year. They join New Zealand, Australia, China, and Japan with three wins. The USA (12) and Thailand (5) lead the LPGA this year.
Mao Saigo widens her lead this week over Jin Hee Im for the Louise Suggs Rookie of the Year award (934 points to 788). No rookie has won on the tour this year, but Saigo has seven top ten finishes. Im and Nataliya Guseva have five each.
There are just a few players that made moves worth noting in the Rolex Rankings this week: Lotte Winner A Lim Kim moves from 72 to 57. You would expect a bigger jump after a victory, but the points for that tournament were very low due to the embarrasingly low strength of field. Nataliya Guseva (runner-up last week) hurdles her way up from 113 to 90. Outside the top 100, Austin Kim soars from 204-162.
The Race for the CME Globe: As you know, you must finish in the top 100 to retain your full-time playing priviliges for the 2025 season. Also note that strength of field does not come into play, and the points awarded for tournament finishes are the same for every non major event. With that in mind, last week's Lotte results had a huge bearing on the players fighting to stay in the top 100. Jodi Ewart Shadoff (99 to 90) and Lindy Duncan (105 to 91) have probably locked up a spot for next year. Yuri Yoshida (132 to 100), Bianca Pagdanganan (107 to 101), and Sofia Garcia (106 to 102), have some more work to be done, but have greatly improved their chances. On the downside, Mone Inami (98 to 103) and Haeji Kang (100 to 104) have fallen out of the top 100.
As far as getting into the CME Championship tournament where only the top 60 finishes from the Race to the CME Globe get in: A Lim Kim (65 to 22) and Nataliya Guseva (51 to 25) have wrapped up spots in this very rich tournament. With just this week's tournament left to qualify, Ryan O'Toole (66 to 55) appears to have done enough to qualify. Austin Kim (79 to 65) made a big move, but has to make another one this week to get in. On the downside: Gaby Lopez (60 to 61), Hinako Shibuno (58 to 62), and Carlotta Ciganda (59 to 63), have all fallen out of the top 60.

Phil, I just got off the phone with the LPGA. I couldn't find it either. If you go to the LPGA website, go to the very, very bottom of the screen. Bottom left hand corner, you can press athlete information. You can find it there! Hope this helps.

My guess is that we'll be seeing a lot of Nelly, Patty T, and defending champion Lilia "I love you" on Thursday morning. Later in the broadcast, it will be Lydia, the Lexi farewell tour, and Rose. Also Hannah, Haeran, and Ronnie very near the end of the broadcast window. Happy viewing all!

Caitlin Clark mania has arrived at this tournament, she is playing a practice round with Annika on GC right now. Maria Fassi and Ally Ewing just pulled her aside for a selfie. It would silly not to invite her to the Hilton TOC during the Wnba off season.

Ji Won Jeon (Yui's snack buddy at Lancaster) just lost a stroke and fell back to -2 ... forget about seeing her as she is on the "wrong" side of the golf course ... on the other hand, Hull just took the solo lead at -4 ... she's also on the wrong side, so I can see GC making an effort to show her and maybe others over there on the side.
Haeji (-2 thru 9) still with Proto Concept irons.

GC finally had to show Jeon ... made a long 2-putt at #4 to maintain her lead at -5. If I heard it right, the big news is that she made her third ace of the season at #3 (5-hybrid). Unfortunately, I guess the camera guy at #3 was eating a sandwich or down in the can because no video of it was shown on GC or posted on the LPGA IG account.

This is one of those courses where spectators must pick one side or the other and hope they picked right.

I gave up watching when it became clear that they didn't even have a camera on Jeon when she made the ace. It's not like she wasn't on the leaderboard at that point. Sheesh.
For whatever reason, this has not been a great event for the Sisters the past few years, so I'll just focus on the Wemix this week I guess.

The LPGA helpfully posted all of Jeon's camera time on the 3-hour broadcast. All 2 minutes and 16 seconds.
Golf Channel spends more time on one shot of Lexi jabbering with her caddie in the middle of the fairway, trying to decide what club to use.

No AP, Yealimi, or Gina to root for so go Jen Chang! She needs a big week currently 112 in CME

Woo-hoo, MHL had a 30 on the back nine, now sitting at T-3. Returned to Saint Nine wardrobe after doing MU Sports for the last few weeks.
