Actually not a bad showing for the Sisters in the 1st round, even if we didn't get to see much of it on the broadcast. I couldn't watch anyway. Jiwon and MHL atop the leaderboard; A Lim, Sei Young, and Six(!) not far behind, then Amy and Jin Hee. A Lim started slowly but turned things around on the back nine.

The only way to see the sisters on the broadcast is if they are playing with Nelly or Caitlin Clark. I am excited for Ina Yoon to come to the LPGA but she makes her mark first in a major first since that would be the optimal coverage vs no SBS. Right now Hae Ran is looking like female Scheffler, Jin Young, and that is it for early round TV coverage. Maybe some Lydia and Minjee too

Great round by Ji Won Jeon tie for first at minus six, also great hole in one. She needs a good tournament because she is ninety-eight on CME.
Great needed back nine by Mi Hyang Lee at fifty-nine in CME ranking.
Why I love her, A Lim Kim two bogeys one birdie front nine, four straight birdies back nine. She is playing the same way that she played on KLPGA, so she probably isn't going to change. Just hopes she also pick up wins like she did on KLPGA.
Nice round by Sei Young Kim five birdies two bogeys.
Good round by Jeong Eun6 Lee at minus three as well. Slim chance to move up inside the top one hundred with all the players in front of her. She missed only four greens which is plus to build on to leave with a positive attitude.
Yu Jin Sung plus two has work to do to stay at the eighty CME for next year seeding.
Ditto Haeji Kang plus three to stay inside the top one hundred to keep her card.
Hyo Joo Kim got to fifty-eight CME last tournament at plus three she has work to do to keep from giving it back.

Yeah, the scores ended up better than I thought they would. Too bad Haeran and Hye Jin didn't do much, but if Six can actually get onto the broadcast I'll be thrilled. We'll see...

Great day for Jin Hee! Do you think maybe... she could steal the ROY? Believe it or not, she would move ahead with a win here, especially with Saigo missing the cut. Yeah, probably not going to happen, but that it's even a possibility is really fun! Six and Five did well; even saw Six on the broadcast! A Lim, Sei Young and Mi Hyang too. But only A Lim got any coverage, because they had to show every last minute of Lexi missing putts. Ah well, last time I guess. Go Sisters! Hwaiting!

After evading the cut, Albane and Hinako have stepped on the gas early.

6 bellyflopped alas. But Haeran had a fantastic 6 under 64 to move to the edges of contention. Jin Hee, Mi Hyang, Sei Young and A Lim are still in range, but they need to up their game a little if they are going to get on the coverage.

Haeran and Furue were exactly tied in scoring average after two rounds; Furue is not here this week, so Ryu has a chance to win the Vare if she plays better. Of course, in round 3 she shot a 64, which is going to move her ahead again.
Thitikul and Korda will not play enough rounds to be eligible. Ironically, if Thitikul had shown up this week she would have had enough rounds, but, according to Grant, would have risked her chance at the $1 million for the risk reward prize, which she leads. As it stands now, by not playing she has increased her odds of winning that prize.

Round 3 Down to just one Sister in the top ten. Im was having an OK round but finished with a flurry, hitting it to inches on 16, making birdie on 17 and nearly making it three straight on the tough 18th. Thanks to final hole bogies by Korda and Hull, Im is still in this. Given that the Player of the Year was a foregone conclusion months ago, it's exciting to see Im still having a chance to make the Rookie of the Year interesting. But she has to win. Korda, stop making forty foot birdies, please. You have enough wins. Go Jin Hee! This is her best chance to make this a real battle. Go get 'em! Fun fact: No rookie has won ROY without having a victory in more than a decade. Six made the broadcast, but not how she would have wanted. On 9, she was up against the wall, chipped, and the ball rolled all the way across the green and into the water. Then, after she dropped, she chipped only to see the ball come back at her and roll into the water again. Ouch. Struggles for Mi Hyang and Sei Young, but a fantastic 64 for Haeran. Haeran has a great chance at the Vare this year. Go Sisters!!!

Nelly Korda is a superb player. She will make the Hall of Fame easily. Pano certainly was schooled on what it takes to be competitive at this level.
Us: show more Korean players. TV: here's Six making a mess at nine. Us: no, not like that!
Give the players a tough course and the pace of play comes to a crawl. Thank goodness the last group was able to finish.

The vare is between Hae Ran and Furue. Nelly and Jeeno don't have enough rounds to qualify.

The vare is between Hae Ran and Furue. Nelly and Jeeno don't have enough rounds to qualify. I actually like Ayaka; she certainly has an interesting fashion sense. But go Haeran! Does anyone know what score she needs on Sunday to clinch the Vare?
And let's all pull for MHL to hang onto her CME spot, and for Jiwon to stay in the top 100... go Sisters!
