Wakimoto needs to go away so Yealimi can win this thing! (4 under thru 6!) Marina Alex enjoying the good vibes playing with her again looking to leap into the top 60 (currently 61)

2nd round a bit rainy, but Ayaka is a ray of sunshine in a "Fur-oo yellow" top... Several Sisters in a good position... would be great to see Jin Young get back into winning form but Haeran, Jiyai, and MHL also competitive, followed by Hyo Joo. Lots of Yealimi fans here, she's not disappointing. And neither is "Marine-er" Alex, as Trish calls her. "Her-Jin" Choi is apparently skipping the Toto... Win a toilet!

Why was Jenny speaking with an Australian accent? Maybe I never heard her speak before but I could have sworn she sounded like a Cali girl. Round 1 Really great round for the top Koreans! Jin Young Ko looked like her old self: a lot of sweet irons and birdies. Hae Ran made a few putts for a change, and Hyo Joo Kim made a birdie on the last from off the green. Jenny has gone fully Aussie again LOL. For those who don't know, she usually sounds American, but when she hangs out with her Aussie caddie too much she sometimes warps into a faux Aussie accent. I can't tell if she does it for giggles or can't help it, but it's pretty funny nonetheless.Even Im is not that far behind Saigo, although she's going to have to have a great week to keep her hopes alive, and so far it's been lackluster for her. Hwaiting! Some people have the natural ability for 'code switching' as it is sometimes called by linguists. They pick up on the dialect or accent of the person to whom they are speaking and imitate it. Not as a joke or a mockery, but as a natural reaction. It's a characteristic that actors/actresses usually have, but some ordinary people also do. I inherited the ability from my late mother; she should have been an actress but she grew up in a working class neighborhood in Chicago. I naturally 'code switch' without thinking about it. In some rural boonies area, I talk with a down-home, basically southern drawl. With non-native English speakers, I talk much more slowly and use simpler words. I drop into "Ebonics" or urban speech patterns with Black or African-American people. It's not that I'm trying to do any of those things; that's just how the words come out of my mouth.

And they showed a nice interview with Yealimi at the end of her round, a great round, minus-7 on the day. GO SISTERS!

Not a great round by Jenny Shin. I think her bf is Australian and she loves going to Melbourne in the off season for coffee and culture. It’s a better place than Vegas for sure!

I'm loving the accent regardless if its for giggles or real. As an Australian you would think she was born in the greatest country in the world I recall Jan Stephenson and Greg Norman copping flack each time they switched accents for some absurd reason.

This is a jumping week for the JLPGA ... aside from co-sponsoring TOTO, they just completed the Pro Test, a Legends tournament, and have one more round to go in a scrub tour event (Pei Ying Tsai leads by three shots 👍 ).
*********
The weather is supposed to be bad for Round Three ... who is the mudder in this field?
MHL shored up her CME position ... for now.
Sakura-chan ... the Neorest NX is not out of reach, yet.

Definitely a less impressive round 2 for the Sisters. Jin Young had an OK round, but she had one late drive that went into the woods and missed a bunch of makeable putts. Still, she isn't going to shoot 65 every day, and she still has a good shot at this one if she can pick up the pace slightly tomorrow; just four back. Yealimi Noh is in a great position for sure. Jiyai and Seon Woo Bae made nice move to get into the outskirts of contention at 6 under. Haeran and Hyo Joo are still lurking at 8 under and 7 under. Kudos to Mi Hyang for shooting an invisible 66 to move to 7 under herself. Hwaiting!

P.U., Round three was cancelled, so it'll be a 3-rounder ending on Sunday. With Lotte starting on Wednesday, I can see why the LPGA did that ... I still don't like it.
BTW, there are some rogue YT videos from the Japanese broadcast available ... this sample has Shibuno Fever's eagle hole-out at #18 starting at 1:01 -

I watched Rio play #5 at Lancaster during her practice ... I should have followed her more. She is a brick sh**house with a X-shafted driver ... there's no way she can blow Stage Three Q-Series in December ... but the way she's playing now, she might not have to go there at all. She's one-dimensional, but what a dimension ... a full-throttle moonball fade ... which probably explains why she stunk at St. Andrews, but that course was one-of-a-kind. I assume Seta Golf Course will run SLOW on Sunday, which shouldn't be a distance challenge for players who carry the ball in the air.
*********
Asia must be getting swamped on Saturday ... the KLPGA is delayed and the JLPGA scrub tour event (Oct. 31 thru Nov. 2) shortened the final round to 9 holes.

Is the tournament 54 holes now? That benefits Yealimi so I won't be mad!

Is the tournament 54 holes now? That benefits Yealimi so I won't be mad! It definitely benefits Yealimi and any of the golfers near the top of the leaderboard. Unlikely that anyone at minus-7 or worse would have a chance as they would have to pass at least 16 golfers in a single round. Golfers at minus-8 only have to pass five golfers, which is doable.
