Round 1. Seemed like a challenging course today. Min Byeol was OK tee to green, but two of her birdies came on a chip-in and a long bomb on the final hole. Still, that left her in the top five. Ina was bombing it today but was not hitting great irons until the final hole, when she got about four feet away and drained a birdie to finally go under par for the day.
Bo Kyeom Park was quite good today although she bogied the final hole to fall to 3 under. Also a good final opening round for Hae Rym Kim, who had tons of fans cheering her every move. Wouldn't it be wild if she won her final event?

Cho A Yeon posted an Instagram story showing a bruised finger in a splint with a caption saying something like "why does this keep happening" in Korean but deleted it before i could screenshot it. Looks like she's still playing though. I'm following Hee Jeong today and might jump over to Ina's group since she's not playing next week. I wish that I could be following the great young lady. I had a chance to follow her here at the ANA, but I injured myself and couldn't go. I was planning to go to the combined LPGA/KLPGA in Busan, but they split up. So how did she look and did her putting improve. |

So how did she look and did her putting improve. I actually followed her the first round at that Ana and she was -2 so i thought I'd see her on the weekend. She ended up shooting a few over and missed the cut. Putting looked really good. She lipped out a couple long putts and only had 1 "bad" hole which was super unlucky. Went over the green on a par 3 with basically no green to work with. Chipped it about as short as she could and the ball just rolled as slow as possible for almost a full minute and almost went off the other side of the green. |
