The talking heads were saying the scoring conditions are tougher in the PM and should be easier tomorrow AM ... good news for MHL who is -2 thru 14 holes ... which falls in line with her performance at Evian back in the old days: had five T-19 finishes during 2013-19. BTW, that is not the #9 shirt I saw her wear at Lancaster, but it looks quite similar.

... and that was a woman starter. It was a guy at the AIGWO who first announced "HoJo" ... it's settled, she should legally change her name.  
Are there any supermarkets left that carry HoJo clam strips? Talk about a loss to mankind.  |

Round 1
Jin Young had a weird round today. Made an easy birdie on 1. Hit it close on 3 + 4 but wasn't in the right spot and missed both birdies. Had a few bad irons for the next nine holes, then she corrected and wound up 2 under. Her first round has been her biggest hurdle; if she can put herself in a good position after that she usually starts to acclimate to the course. Five back is a fine start. Amy also ended up at that level playing with la Nelly and Saso.
Hye Jin had a fantastic start. They showed her putting for eagle on 18 and it stopped one roll short. But she tapped in for 65. One roll away from tied for the lead!
Hae Ran and Hyo Joo also played really well; would love to see a run from them this week.
The three rookies and the three KLPGA stars all shot either +1 or -1. The -1: Jin Hee Im, Ji Young Park and So Mi Lee. Yewon, Youmin and Yu Jin were +1. Not scintillating, but getting used to playing in this environment is a process. Hoping to see runs from a few of them tomorrow. I'll throw behind Youmin: at Chevron, Bang followed an OK first round with a master class in round 2. Let's see if Hwang can do the same here.
Sei Young and A Lim are so far the Sisters who have put themselves too far behind the eight ball. Otherwise, a decent start.
