It depends on how Yewon Lee and Jin Young Ko handle the longer par fours.
If they are able to play them even par, I like their chances.
Ditto with Hyo Joo Kim who was up and down at Lotte but showed improvement.
I watched and watched Ji Young Park and can't figure her out.
She has no weaknesses but don't win as much as she could.
Love A Lim Kim to death but her game doesn't seem to fit this course.
Although she has won on an US Women Open course so who knows.

Yewon's habit.
1. Making the cut: Having a blah event and finishing around 20th.
2. Making the cut: Having a couple decent rounds and finishing in the top 10.
3. Making the cut: Leading by 2 or more shots after 54 holes.
Other results seem...abnormal. *^^*

A Lim did finish T3 last year, the key for this major is scoring. If you aren't making birdies, you will get left in the dust. Her firepower on the longer holes will give her an advantage. 18majors I rewatched Yealimis final round highlights when she nearly won, her ball striking was immaculate just needed some more putts to drop. And I will still never forgive her caddy for laying up on 18, she could have won it right then and there 🤷♂️ |

I’m staying in the Hilton where several players are staying. We saw Amy Yang in the gym, spoke at length to Carlotta Ciganda (I was wearing an England football shirt and she said “see you in the final” and her prediction has come true as it’s Spain v England on Sunday). Out in town I saw some mystery Korean beauties. All became clear when I saw JYK’s Instagram post revealing her pro-am partners. I will be heading to the course later after my morning run along the lake. Go sisters!

Caddie list is out ... Lewis skipped Evian again, but her regular loop Travis Wilson ended up with Marina. Where has Mick Seaborn been hiding? He came out of his hole to work for Minami Katsu this week. Charles/Charlie Ryan did not join MHL in France ... too early to say if he is toast ... she's going with Carlos Lopez, who had been a regular with Gaby Lopez ... and Gaby is going with Juan Solis, who had Aza's bag last year. WaitWait Zhang is going with an old hand, Axel Bettan (ex of Yu Liu).

I'm watching Round One now ... and Minjee just holed out from the fairway for eagle at the par-4 3rd!!!  Minjee and The New Ko are the only Sisters they'll show a lot of this AM. Starting at #10, MHL is even after two holes. Uh oh, JES just aced #16 and won a Porsche! It's not necessarily the one parked behind that tee ... they give you a voucher for $180K.

Yewon tees off in about 20 minutes.
Park Ji Young was doing well. Reached 4-under, then collapsed. She is in the clubhouse at 1-under.
Hwang Youmin struggled early. Battled back to finish +1.
