I've only been part of the Flying Dumbo posse at other tournaments. If I'm going to follow other Seoul Sisters this week do any of these have a loyal following.

I don't know how widespread the fan clubs are (i.e., how many you will find at a European event as opposed to one in Asia), but most of the Koreans have fan clubs. Lee6's is called Lucky Six, although I haven't seen any at events I've attended (I did see her pose with a guy with a 'Lee6' jersey on at an LPGA event, though). Hyo Joo has a pretty dedicated fan club and I saw a few of them at Sahalee. I'd be surprised if the KLPGA guests have any Western fans at this point, although Yewon might (the English language KLPGA feed is regularly exceeding 100K views, so someone is watching them over here). I'd bet Jenny Shin will have a few fans trailing her.
Good luck, looking forward to your report from the site!

My field rating for this major championship is a solid 82.5%, down from 84%. This is a strong field but the weakest of the four majors so far this year. My breakdown is 84% from the LPGA Priority List and 81% from the Rolex Rankings. Nine of the top ten players in the world will be in attendance this week. Ruoning Yin is the only Rolex Ranked top ten player not teeing it up. Although there are some stars from other tours playing this week, there are several familiar LPGA names not teeing it up. They include: Ruoning Yin (mentioned above) Lexi Thompson Xi Yu Lin Lizette Salas Yu Liu Danielle Kang Eun-He Ji Matilda Castren
Other stuff: Atthaya Thitikul's win at the Dow Championship was the second this year for player from Thailand. They became the third country to have multiple victories this year. Australia has two victories and the USA has a total of nine. Ruoning Yin's victory was the first for a player from China this year. There was no movement worth reporting by LPGA players in the Rolex Rankings. The reason for this is that the Rolex Rankings does not count the Dow Championship in their rankings. Therefore the two winners do not benifit at all in the world rankings! That said, the LPGA does count the event in the all important Race to the CME Globe (where a player needs to finish in the top 100 if they want to see playing time next season). This race isn't all that important to the top players, but is ever so important to players trying to finish in the top 100 this season. Two players that really benifited from their performance at the Dow Championship are: I.K. Kim - who moved from 142 to 95. Haeji Kang 141 to 94. I will be reporting movement in the Race to the CME Globe much more frequently later on in the season, when this statistic becomes much more important.

www.lpga.com/tournaments/the-evian-championship/tournament-entriesYou can see all entries and reserved players on the website above. If someone drops out suddenly for some illness or whatever Isabella Fierro followed by Maria Fassi is next in line it seems. Wasn't Fassi supposed to be some amazing legendary player? The US can't develop players. She is Mexican FWIW, but your point still stands. The college system is not the best way to groom professionals (she was a standout at Arkansas U). If you look at all the prodigal US talents, they all bypassed NCAA golf like Nelly, Lexi, Meg Khang and more recently Angel Yin, Yealimi, Pano. Rose went to Stanford, but I assume her parents are the stern type that "value education" just so they can brag to their friends their daughter went to Ivy League west coast over being an Olympic golfer. Aptrojan....That is one huge assumption! Bragging rights? Maybe Rose's parents want her to have an education to fall back on in case of an injury or her career doesn't go as planned.

The mostly Asian church me and my wife go to is all the elders bragging about their kids. But on the plus side, it is a FREE education whereas Lucy Li is paying out of pocket for online schooling. Im too scared to look what a semester at Stanford would even cost! ill be forcing my unborn child to play lacrosse. If you are an OK player at an NJ/NY HS, you can get a scholarship anywhere in the country.

Jeeno winner, Ewing another top 5 and Yealimi + Yewon top 10. A Lim has played well in the majors this year too and finished near the top last year Evian.

They've put all this year's major winners together. Amy is paired with Nelly and Yuka Saso. 7.36am start! They stick Yewon Lee out last at 2pm - not nice!

It's too bad that the coverage doesn't start until later 'in the morning.' I'm a night owl so 7:36 am Evian time is 1:36 am EDT and I'm still likely to be awake for a little while... I actually prefer the Asian tournaments to the European ones.

Malbon past and present as Yealimi and Lee6 are together with slugger Manon De Roy. Lee6 will be hitting her 2nd shot first all day.

Not sure whom I think might do well this week. It feels unlikely that Amy will have two great Majors in a row, but you never know. I have a good feeling about Jin Young, though. I don't think there's anyone in the field hungrier for a Major win than she is. She's gone five years without one, the time has come!
Among the KLPGAers, I'll go with Yewon contending. Ji Young just recently overcame her appendix operation (although she did lose in a playoff a few weeks ago, so she's playing well), and Youmin is so new at this it feels like she'll have at least one Major where she is acclimating to playing at this level.
Jin Hee Im needs to rebound after a little mini-slump recently. Hae Ran? Would love to see her build on Sahalee.
Hwaiting!
