My field rating for this event is a quite awful 28%. This is down from 36% when it was last played in 2018. My breakdown is 33% from the LPGA Priority List and 23% from the Rolex Rankings.
Just six of the top 20 players in the World rankings will be teeing it up. The field will be led by top 20 players: Lilia Vu (still #1) Celine Boutier Ruoning Yin Minjee Lee Lydia Ko Xiyu Lin Top 20 players not teeing it up this week: Nelly Korda, Jin Young Ko, Charley Hull, Hyo-Joo Kim Atthaya Thitikul, Brooke Henderson, Megan Khang, Allisen Corpuz, Nasa Hataoka, Amy Yang, Hannah Green, Jiyai Shin, Alison Lee, Angel Yin.
Other Stuff: Brooke Henderson and Ayaka Furue finished in the top ten for the third time this year which leads the tour. Brooke Henderson is the only player to have four top twenty finishes.
The LPGA has had winners from four different countries in the first four tournaments of the year: The USA New Zealand Thailand Australia
Hannah Green made the most important move in the Rolex Rankings by an LPGA player this week, jumping up from 29 to 17. Andrea Lee moved from 54-45 Mao Sago rises from 55 to 47 Yuna Nishimura springs up from 75-69 Mi Hyang Lee skyrockets from 121 to 86 Outside the top 100: Peiyun Chien surges from 112 to 103 On the downside: Narin An drops out of the top 100 and out of my field rating.

Caddie list is out ... Kempy is off this week, so Sarah Bowman will be on Auston Idol's bag ... Mo Jutanugarn will have Nick Jorgenson on her bag; don't remember seeing his name with anyone before.
*******
A dual happy birthday today for Ting Ting and Mini Ting Ting ... I thought Ting Ting was in the field earlier, but has dropped out and is not playing in Japan or anywhere else ... baby sis is still here. I don't know why Jin Hee Im is skipping this one and she's not playing the KLPGA this week.
*******
Perfect TV window for MHL's group (with Nordqvist and Valenzuala) on Thursday IF they play well ... they start at 12:22 PM (local time) and Golf Channel starts at Noon. The two groups ahead of them will get more coverage at the start: Voodoo/Ronni/Lopez and BadA$$/Cyborg/Yu Liu.

Perhaps after playing in Saudi Arabia and at the TLPGA event, Jin Hee decided she needed a break?

The Blue Bay is finally back. My memory always gets triggered back to 2014 when Lee-Ann Pace won the inaugural tournament. I was the only contestant of the Pakpicker to include Lee-Ann in my picks. Back then the tournament was held in autumn. The winner of the Pakpicker that week had the handle name of Blue. The link to the final field of that tournament from 10 years ago but I did post a copy of Blue's winning score. Golfers scheduled to play in the tournaments then and now are Sandra Gal, Anna Nordqvist, Azahara Munoz, Lydia Ko and Jenny Shin.

This tournament doesn't matter if In Gee repeats at Lancaster.

So Mi Lee is not in the field, but Yu Jin Sung is. So is In Gee. And Rocket! (Hee Young Park). Good luck to her. She played a few times last year (not on the LPGA) and did decently, so it will be interesting to see how she does here.

'Haney' alert: "I'm picking Minjee Lee and Lucy Li, there's two of them..."
And Sarah Schmelzel is plugged in for the 2nd consecutive week...

According to the (Aussie) male announcer, "Hye-Jin Choi, she's on fire already," as she proceeded to birdie again, I think she's minus-3 after 4 holes?
A few holes later, from the female announcer, "This is proving to be a very good outing for Choi!"

Lots of golfers wearing a monochromatic black/white combo tonight (EST, GMT-5). Sei Young, Yu Liu (seems to be black/very pale yellow), Hye-Jin, beautiful Lilia... Ronnie in black/lighter gray which is also monochromatic. Gabi Lopez in what I would describe as light or pale purple.
They are showing some recorded video of Minjee's leading round from the morning, "off to a flying start," according to the female Aussie announcer. Minjee in green and white to bring cheer to Spartan Nation... since we apparently no longer have real Spartans like Liz Nagel or la colombiana Valery Plata on the tour to support...
They just showed MHL; she's in orange and white tonight. Your color judgment may differ. My wife and daughter constantly tell me that my interpretation of colors is off...

Disaster for my faves. In Gee +3 and Jenny Shin WD. Seen Jenny tee off photos on Getty Images so does anyone know reason for withdrawal part way through round?
