Another pet peeve of the broadcast was the graphic illustrating the strength of a player's five swing stats against the tour average. It had no legend. It wasn't until one of the commenters explained what the lines meant did I figure it out. At least the broadcast was long but, of course, at a terrible time for viewers in the US. And no repeats the next morning. The LPGA Youtube channel did post 15-20 recaps.
Congratulations to Bailey Tardy. I had forgotten she contended for a while at last year's US Open.
Best finish for a Chinese player was Ruixin Liu. Her father was caddying for her. The poor guy was suffering from a bum knee and a herniated disk! C'mon Liu, hire a healthy caddy.

Just couldn't motivate myself to watch with so many obscure players in the hunt and no one I really like, so I focused on the KLPGA this week. Hopefully sometime soon the Koreans will produce a good Sunday round; even better if they are actually somewhat close to the lead going into the final day. As usual, most of the Sisters were mediocre on Sunday and lost ground. Hye Jin grabbed a solo ninth with a final round 69, but once again she was too far back to really ever have a chance at this one.

(1) Totally agree about the swing stats graphic. Since I must not have been listening when it was explained, maybe someone can give me a clue. Did it mean that the golfer was better when their stat was closer to the center, or when it was closer to the edge.
(2) I actually prefer the Asian tournaments to the European ones because I'm a night owl and avoid being a morning person... But this weekend I couldn't stay up to the end of any of the rounds because I had to be a morning person while helping my daughter move from the midwest to upstate NY.
(3) Ya gotta respect your elders!

I was hoping someone would beat Lydia Ko. Winning the Bluebird is no way to enter the HOF. Why not win the ANA Shell or the Lancaster-Chun instead?

Just don't take photos of the locals while traveling through rural Lancaster County. And always pronounce it "LANK-uh-stir" in the British manner, not "Lang-CAST-er" as nearly all Americans do. That was one of the first things I learned after moving to suburban Philadelphia, where I eventually owned a house a short block from "LANK-uh-stir Pike," the local name for US Route 30.

I'm with you on the pronunciation of Grewal's name, Phil. I always think "Gree-wall" or at the worst "Groo-all" but not "Grool." The Aussie announcers are great for their candor, wish the regular GC crew would pick up some of that... but after hearing them refer to Nasa as "Atta-WOKE-uh" last year... accurate pronunciation is not their strong point...
The LPGA website's media section has the 2024 Written Pronunciation Guide ... it includes this:
Savannah Grewal GRU-wall
"Can I have more Grewal in 2024?"
***********
BTW, here's a pronunciation that I have NOT heard on GolfChannel ... but if she wins again ....
Gemma Dryburgh Jem-ah Dry-burra
