At the McCol Mona Open earlier this year there was a bunker with *pink* sand in it. I guess this is the latest golf gimmick. Eagerly awaiting disco lights after you hit a shot like they do in some bowling alleys.  |

Eee Ga Young! White-ting!
So says the Binder Bunch following her ... and why not? A big two-shot swing at #7 and she is ahead by five strokes ... now 8-for-8 in GIR, even though she has missed three fairways. No one will catch her unless she throws it away. JY Park will not catch her ... her usual minimum number of wild tee shots are punished on this golf course. Yeah, Lee Won will not catch if all her birdie putt attempts continue to be 20+ feet long. Little Giant and YJS can't gain any traction. All the other "name" chasers are way too far back. They occasionally show Ji Won Han, who is Even but doesn't impress me ... forget about her. Eee Ga Young now 9-for-9 in GIR, but Park picked up one stroke via a short birdie putt at #9 ... and is ready to give it back at #10 after driving into the left bunker while Eee Ga Young hit a runway slot down the middle. I'm declariing this one OVER  ... now for a quick nap before the JLPGA broadcast starts. |

Mayhap you were too quick. After three bogies on the back, Ga Young has just a one-shot lead over Yewon and two over Ji Young Park.
Yewon is going to be a huge star. If she pulls off this win it would be a shot across the bow to the entire league.

When there is a really tough tournament and so much of the field is struggling, you look at the top of the leaderboard and you see #1 vs #2 in money battling it out over every single hole it really is nice to see the best rise to the top in situations like this. Playing well over four days on a course like this is very very tough.
Who will struggle tomorrow?
Who will go low?
Who will rise to the top?
Can Ga Young hold on?
Drama baby. Drama. Pure Drama.
(If Yewon holds on to second place, Ji Young has no chance to catch her on the money list even if Ji Young wins this.)

Soaking it all in. Amazing.
Winter training. No sophomore slump.
Yewon started the year hoping to win twice. Once in the spring and once in the fall.
She beats her own hopes winning twice fairly quick.
She then says she wants to win a major specifically KB.
Goes to Hanwha, shoots 10 under on the weekend and finishes T-2. Wow. Wow.
Takes a week off to prep. Goes to Black Stone, hardest course on tour probably and while the field us being destroyed she holds close to the lead for three rounds.
Even if she doesn't win tomorrow, 2nd place likely puts her over a billion won.
She's playing on another level.
Third round, 18th green. Ga Young putting. Yewon and JiYoung chat for a moment. What do they say? What does the veteran say to the prodigy? LOL
When I started following Yewon she was almost unknown. Now no one on tour can ignore her.
I can imagine Ga Young practicing tonight and looking over extensive notes. "I better play the round of my life tomorrow to win this, those two behind me won't make many mistakes."

They moved up the 18th tee today and tomorrow. Did you see Yewon on the 18th tee today? Did NOT even take out the driver. She hit a long iron down to the fairway, like a champ.
The other two hit driver over the trees into the rough. Risky.
I'm impressed with the maturity to hit an iron in that situation. Awesome Par if you ask me.

tv.naver.com/v/40057154KB Financial 3R Highlight I didn't get to see the Broadcast but checked the Leaderboard. Hee Jeong Lim had two double bogeys on her front nine and a birdie. Then she had two birdies before finishing the round with three bogeys. She is making birdies, which means she will be fine. Ga Young Lee has a habit of not playing too good final round when near the top on back nine. I like Yewon Lee but I hope the Ga Young Lee can get the win.

Ga Young, Yewon and Ji Young all tied at 2 under after 6. Can't get any more nail biting! Meanwhile, Min Byeol Kim is making a spectacular run: 5 under after 8, t-4th at +1. Does she have time to catch them? Hard to believe she can do it, but she's giving it her best shot. Hwaiting!!!  [EDIT] And of course, as soon as I post this, Kim three-putted on 9. Lipped out a four foot par save. Sigh. But still, go kid go! 4 under on the front is still amazing. |

I gave up on my football game because Min Byeol Kim was playing so good.
Of course she just made a bogey and Ga Young Kim has started to fade early.
She still got nine more holes to turn it around

So much for Min Byeol run she just chunked her chip shot and made another bogey.
I she can finish in top five she can get closer to You Min Hwang.
Jeong Mee Hwang is having a good Tournament, I hope she can finish strong.
I can't believe all three of the Final Group left their approach shots short of number ten green.
Yewon Lee was the only one that didn't savage a par.

Gah, that was frustrating. Min Byeol hit a solid approach and it kept rolling and rolling until it went off the back, then she didn't get up and down. I think her shortish putting is her one weakness right now. If she can get a little better at that she'll be deadly.
Still hoping she can hang in there and get a top five.
