For some reason Hee Jeong Lim score is different from when she finished the round at plus three. The score card showed that she made birdie on fifteen and plus four on back nine. Todays scorecard showed a par on fifteen and plus five on back nine and finished at plus four. When she missed her par on eighteen broadcast showed plus two before that.

Some observations: Nice day for In Gee! She loves these kinds of tough courses. She almost made a late birdie after a great tee shot or she would have been at even for the day, but two back is a nice position to be in. The Rookie stars all struggled. It was painful watching Hwang make that quad, largely through some terrible short game. Well, something for her to work on in the off season! Four of the Swing Girls shot 76: Hee Jeong, Hyun Kyung, So Mi and Ayean. Only Ga Young broke that curse, and she's tied for the lead. In Gee, Hyo Ju You, Yewon and Yu Jin Sung all in the final few groups today. Love it! Fingers crossed they get lots of coverage and play great! So Hyeon Ahn also had a really good start, three back. Hwaiting!

I assume this tour has an 88 rule ... Ji Hyun Kim7 shot 89 on Thursday and is listed as "Cut", not "WD". She has 13 trunk slams in 21 starts this season.
******
Check the replay if you missed it ... they showed Su Ji making an ace at the 3rd hole in 2018; ball landed far-left at the fringe and made a right turn ... her swing was noticeably wimpier back in the day.
*******
Are the sprinklers busted at the 1st green? Big sections on the upper part and lower part look dead.
*******
A billboard behind the 3rd tee is advertising 'BIG BaNG' golf gear (whatever that is) ... the picture appears to be a set from 2 thru 11 of FW/UT sticks ... the verbiage starts with "50 yd" followed by Korean words ... aigoo, it must be a miraculous distance claim.
*******
Lim asked for and received a free drop in the middle of the 4th fairway ,,, either I missed it or it was lame camera work, but I didn't see an obvious reason for this. The course conditions are a bit spotty for such a highly ranked ROK venue.

Da Yeon won the year's first Major, contended in the most recent one, and is currently the low score on the course at 3 under after 7 holes. Could she be a factor again? Stay tuned!

The Official that Hee Jeong Lim asked know more about the KLPGA Rules than people watching the broadcast, gave her the free drop.
By the way In Gee Chun back swing is more rounded with less extension on her back swing. That is why she doesn't get as much distance off the tee as someone with great extension. I applaud her for sticking with it instead of trying to change it.

I didn't think that Hee Jeong Lim and Hyun Kyung Park would have to care about making the cut. The cut is plus ten, Hyun Kyung Park made double on thirteen, bogey on fourteen and fifteen plus eight. Hee Jeon Lim made bogey on thirteen, fourteen and fifteen plus seven both with three holes to play.

Hee Jeong Lim made bogey on seventeen and eighteen and Hyun Kyung Park made bogey on eighteen. They both at plus nine is one off the present cut line. Hee Jeong first two rounds is minus one front nine plus ten the back nine. Ok, she get a pass because she has been injured.

After the live broadcast finished, they came back with a heavily edited replay ... no Baby Su Ji and her 2018 ace. Eee Ga Young had her Binder army with her ... which also showed good sportsmanship by giving Yeah, Lee Won a moderate cheer during her birdies. Dumbo got a lot of airtime during the replay ... strictly on name recognition, what a lethargic last 12 holes.
**********
SBS Golf currently showing a four against four match .... BML/Eight Head/Yeah, Lee Won/Min Byeol Kim vs. NYC/Sky/Hong Kong/Human.

Who designed this course, P.T. Barnum? It feels like a circus out there at times. TBH, I haven't enjoyed watching my favorite players turned into weekend hackers; I don't know if I want to even tune in for the rest. I haven't seen this many missed short putts since the last Lexi Thompson putting practice session. If a player misses the green even a little (and it's easy to do) she is dumped in thick rough and par becomes questionable. Half the greens are multi-tiered, so even if she gets on board, she's probably on the wrong tier and has her work cut out for her to make par.
I'm no fan of birdie fests, but it feels like they went too far in the other direction with this one.

Is that In Gee’s worst round of the year? I watched her shoot 78 at Women’s British Open. I hate these courses with coloured sand. Golf doesn’t need gimmicks

I was mistaken earlier... it's not just the back bunker at #18 that is KB Star yellow, but the front one, too. I don't remember seeing this anywhere else. I wonder if this sand plays differently compared to "normal" sand.
What I noticed about putting early in round two was a lot of putts finishing short ... I think the players were already a little shell-shocked from Thursday.
Really hope Eee Ga Young nails this one down ... a simple repeatable swing like hers should have produced more than one win by now (and she almost never takes a week off) ... seems to be a higher spin player with irons; her ball usually doesn't hit the green like a scalded cat. If all goes right, she'll have her full army on the weekend and maybe a few defections from Minji Park who's almost out of this tournament.
