Hmmm... Because of weather, I heard that they decided to make it threesomes tomorrow and start earlier. Conveniently, that means that Maguire and Meadow get to play together with Jenny. I'm sure that's coincidental. Come on, Jenny, eyes on the prize!

Great comeback by Jin Young Ko, to bad she missed those short putts. She also missed a makeable birdie putt on seventeen. I really would love to see Jenny Shin get the win as well. Just don't let Mcquire get the win by shooting even par and everyone else fading.

Round 3 Jenny had about the best of round of golf of her career. Other than that weird tee shot into the water on 18 (she got better by saving par anyways). The problem for her is, now she's going to have to do it again. Can she? Best of luck to her, but she's going to have to do something beyond anything she has shown before to come away with the trophy. Never a better time than the present. Umm, she already did ... 2016 VOA ... trailed Gerina by four shots and won by two.
UPDATE - Wikipedia says she lost in a 4-way playoff at the 2012 HSBC ... I don't remember that at all ... well, at least she got there.
*****
The standard Six method of looking over her putting line today ... I saw MHL do this once on Friday which was a new one on me.

Six is third on the "Sisters leaderboard" behind Jenny and Jin Young, as pointed out by HF. She's obviously not going to contend for the win, but a decently solid final round could put her into the top ten. And that would make two consecutive weeks of competitive golf. Maybe that is a good sign; Six has always shown glimpses of brilliance, but her problem has always been lack of consistency.
This was her first round under par for the weekend, but par has been hard to achieve given the course and the conditions. I believe that there are only two golfers who did not have any round over par in the first three days. One is the leader, Maguire. The other is not one of the golfers near the very top of the leaderboard. It's Celine Boutier.
It would be great to see Jenny or Jin Young put together a great round on Sunday and put a sister on top of this major.

Shin has the only permanent place in my dream foursome. Would a “4 handicap” have the guts to set their bag next to Shin on the practice range? That’s a no for me.

Gotta share that the local tv media here in SW Michigan, where the Meijer was held last week, had a short segment showing Leona Maguire at the KPMG on Saturday. They are excited that the Meijer winner is continuing to have success. You know what, I'm glad that LPGA is getting coverage here for more than the one week of the Meijer. They will continue to cover the Dow pairs event on the other side of the state later in the summer, of course. Nothing against Leona, but Sunday I will be supporting the sisters Jenny 신지은 and Jin Young 고진영.

Yeah, I never said that she hadn't won before, just that this was the best round of her career; a bogey free masterpiece in the third round of a Major to put herself into the final group. Now the hard part starts, in that she has to keep up that level of play in the final round of a Major. Good luck to her!

I got to mention Sung Hyun Park struggles. Some of her third-round stats wasn't too bad but thirty-seven putts were. It's just hard to believe that she hasn't rebounded because she had a solid game.

What is it with Jin Young and Majors? Sigh. She was in the exact position she was a month ago at Founders - four back coming into the last round - and somehow she just hasn't been able to make anything happen. Maybe she's trying to hard these days in the Majors, I don't know... Sisters hwaiting!

Maybe she's trying to hard these days in the Majors, I don't know... Sisters hwaiting! Even with all of Jin Young Ko's success she sometimes is too emotional. I remember when I followed her a few times and she was hitting great shots and missing short putts. She would go over and stand by herself and moot, Her road Manager would walk her to the next tee to calm her down. Even with all her talent she just hasn't shown that killer instinct lately. She will be back because she is much stronger mentally now.
