Wow, that was a boring final. Sung made birdie after birdie, quickly got to 3 up, and basically cruised the rest of the way. Every time Hyun Kyung managed a win, Sung almost immediately won after that. By 10 I just gave up. I'm not really a big fan of either lady, but I was hoping to see a close match, given they were both undefeated until this point. Oh well, congrats to Sung on her win. She had six birdies and was 5 under through 15, compared to Park, who had one birdie and shot even. And there's the difference.

124K views on YT. Hyun Kyung received a consolation prize of about US$2K for being named Ms. Photogenic. The gallery followed inside the ropes behind the final group for most of the round, which gave it kind of a major quality. Was hoping Yu Jin would give a shoutout in English to her American fans, of which she has at least two but, alas, it was not to be.

Here's my amateur attempt at projecting Yu Jin's Rolex ranking on Monday:
* The 2022 Doosan winner received 18 points, so I assume that's still the case in 2023.
* Sung started the week with 61.29 points accumulated over 59 events in the last 104 weeks, making her average score 1.04.
* Sung scored 0.81 points at the 2021 Doosan ... subtract those points and add in 18.0 for winning this week (which I called )and her new total is 78.48.
* Divide 78.48 by 59 events and her average score becomes 1.33 ... assuming everyone else remains static (which they won't), her Rolex ranking will improve from 104 to 84 ... puts her two spots ahead of Schubert, who I already said was not as good as Sung.
*********
'YJS' is shorthand for Young Jordan Spieth on GolfWrx ... I'll apply that to Sung because I keep thinking 'Su Jin' when I write her name, before correcting it.

Congratulations to Eugene Sung for a dominating performance.
A shout out to Hee Won Na for a third-place tie. Maybe she won't have to worry too much about finishing in the top sixty this year.
