The Se Ri Pak tournament is here! As you would expect, Se Ri will be playing, although the field listing I saw didn't seem to have any other notable guests (it was not the final list, so there may still be time). It looks to be a typical KLPGA event, although the players who have talked about it all seem to want to win this event more than usual because it's Se Ri's event. For instance, last week's winner In Gee Chun said it was an 'honor' to play in a tournament named after an 'idol' like Se Ri, and she hoped to continue her good play from last week. Action starts Friday the 3rd of October!

This is Fri-Sun Korea time... right? I'm kinda surprised the Pro Am was on Wednesday.
Any ideas for webcasts?

IceCat included a link to the place I was watching last week, which presumably will still work this week. The times I saw said five hours (!) of coverage per day, which I would guess translates to 8 PM - 1 AM PST.

Isn't this event suppose to be a tribute to Se Ri? If yes, then why are popular KLPGA stars like Sky, HJK and all the other LPGA Korean players not in the field? With 6 consecutive Asian swing events, why didn't the Korean LPGA players sit out Beijing......many of the Yanks bypassed Reignwood.
Is this a slap in the face to Se Ri?

With 6 consecutive Asian swing events, why didn't the Korean LPGA players sit out Beijing......many of the Yanks bypassed Reignwood. Is this a slap in the face to Se Ri? Maybe they weren't invited to the invitational? Seriously, though, this event only changed names and became the Pak Se Ri Invitational a few months ago. Perhaps the non-KLPGA Koreans and those other stars had already planned out their schedules and didn't see how they could reshuffle to fit this one in. We'll see how things work out next year; hopefully the turn out will be better. Meanwhile, In Gee Chun and Ha Na Jang got the thrill of playing with Se Ri. In Gee even managed a 70, which must have been a great feeling for her!
