With a new board comes a new start, and part of that should mean a central place where we can find the latest links to Korean broadcasts so that we can watch live tournament action or maybe the latest episode of, say, Real Men. The title of this thread includes the phrase "hush hush" because the third party sites are of dubious legality in some quarters.
Anyway, the Blogspot page KoreaLive is still up as of this writing and contains links to most of the major radio and TV channels. Unlike when we first discovered this page we can no longer access SBS Golf through it, but HF's most recent link has been working, albeit with annoying pop up ad links in the frame: www.olweb.me/sbs-golf If anyone has a link to J-Golf they should post it here.
Slightly off topic but it is a third-party link to a Korean broadcaster so I should mention it here. It is a Ustream user plucking the satellite feed of Korean Central Television and streaming it live online. If you're not familiar with KCTV then you should know that it is the state broadcaster of NORTH Korea.
In the past the website elufa.net, now known as elufa-tv.net, has been posting videos recorded off of KCTV of their various programs. It was there that I discovered the live link, which didn't exist until fairly recently. The stream is not on 24/7 because KCTV itself is not on 24/7: their broadcast day on most weekdays doesn't start until 3pm KST and runs until between 10:30 and 11pm. On weekends and certain major holidays they sign on around 8:30am. Because it is hosted on Usteam you'll see a couple of adverts pop into the stream every 13 minutes within the first hour along with the banner ads, but both disappear after that assuming you're still watching after an hour. North Korea's direct presence on the internet is very minimal and it is unknown if they approved of someone streaming KCTV live on their behalf, so enjoy it while you can...OK, "enjoy" might not be the right word for it.
