I have to do this quick because I am on my way to this event.
My field rating for this major championship is a solid 84%, down slightly from 85% last year. My breakdown is 94% from the LPGA Priority List and 74% from the Rolex Rankings.
The only name players missing this week are: Danielle Kang Austin Ernst Hee Young Park Mi Jung Hur
Other notes (because of time constraints I will keep this to LPGA players only):
Lydia Ko, Atthaya Thitikul, and Brooke Henderson all finished in the top ten of the Meijer LPGA Classic, tying them with Carlotta Ciganda and Hye-Jin Choi for the LPGA lead.
Jennifer Kupcho's victory was the 4th for players from the USA. Other countries with multiple wins: Republic of Korea with 3 and Australia with 2.
Jennifer Kupcho joins Minjee Lee as the only LPGA players with 2 wins this year. They also have both won a major championship.
In a see-saw race for the Rookie of the Year award, Atthaya Thitikul retakes the lead with 700 points. Hye-Jin choi is second with 657.
Jennifer Kupcho makes the most important move in the Rolex Rankings this week. She jumps into the top ten, moving from 16 to 9. Inbee Park drops out of the top ten. Leona Maguire leaps up from 25 to 17, Bronte Law 101 to 79, and Wei Ling Hsu 110 to 98.

I didn't know the LPGA played at Congressional. Isn't that one of those major championship sites which hosts US Opens periodically? I was under the impression almost all LPGA tour stops were at lesser known courses the men never played at?
Well, glad some more historically men only tour courses are hosting the ladies.

The link above is a good summary of what happened ... this "major" was a dog until Whan got it seriously upgraded across the board in 2015. I went to the first "new" one at WCC, courtesy of freebies from MHL ... sad to say, seeing her next year at Baltusrol looks like a long shot.

They had it at Sahalee in 2016, another site that the men have played at. I went to that one. That was also the week that Inbee Park qualified for the Hall of Fame. All the players had paper Inbee masks that they wore during her post-round celebration.

Jin Young is paired with no. 60 Nicole Castren and no 116 Angela Stanford. Nelly is paired with No 11 Inbee and no 8 Henderson. How does this make any sense?

I saw that and it doesn't make much sense. Most of the Korean golfers have pretty good Match-ups. For the most part just about every top golfers has good Match-ups.I wonder why they chose that Match-up for Jin Young Ko. She still has to play her own game but it's disrespectful for the number one Golfer. She just have to put it out of her mind and not let it be a mental distraction. edit: I meant parings not match up

She’s a Solheimer and some big shots at the LPGA or KPMG liked her headshot. Plus she won a tour event. It’s a compliment to JYK that she got paired with a new C-Suite darling.

Caddie list is out ... it definitely appears that Georgia Hall threw Prince Harry to the sharks since he's NOT on her bag for this Major. Yae Eun Hong's daddy will loop for his daughter ... there's a good article on them at lpga.com today. MJ Uribe didn't make this field, so Ivan Galdame was loaned out to Mo Stacks. I'm a little surprised that Sung Hung dumped Andrew Tomasi ... although she bombed out at Meijer, she picked up over $100K from the three events before that ... the new guy is a veteran, Thad Kael ... look for the Detroit Red Wings cap, unless he's been bought out by KB Star, too.

Since you put up what Sung Hyun Park had won so far. Curiosity made me look up what So Yeon has won. Surprisingly she has only earned 57k, so maybe she should pick him up. (kidding) No top twenty only one top thirty, I knew she wasn't playing well but surprised that it was that bad. Her practice swing looks good and her is putting is also good. So Yeon has a lot of pride and is very intelligent, so she will figure it out.

The nerds would have to figure it out but this could be one of the great rounds vs the field average of all time.

If Ingee gets a 5 on the par 5 9th (hardest hole today) her 64 would be 10.7 shots ahead of the current field average of 74.72. From a few years ago, here are the best scores vs the field on the PGA tour since 2004. Miller's 63 was almost 12 shots better.

At least three times, Hicks said In Gee was "putting on a clinic" and he just said Minjee "put on a clinic" at the US Open.
I'd like someone to put on a clinic for Hicks on how not to use repetitive cliches.
