Golf Central just invited In Gee for a long sitdown interview with Paige/Amanda/the British chick at their desk on-site. It must have been at least 15 minutes long. If anyone finds it, post it here, because it was really great to see her get a chance to show off her new trophy.
I caught the tail end of this segment. Can't find any of it on the GC website, on YouTube or on Naver ... maybe it will be shown again during the wee hours of the AM when GC replays Round Four.
So, LEXI(TM) and Cyborg were docked $2,000 each for slow play ... hmm, maybe the same justice was dished out to Waitwait Zhang at Cognizant, especially since her transgressions were so in-your-face.
Another In Gee Highlight reel. I spy Minjee as one of the sprayers! In Gee and Minjee are next door neighbors in Texas, so that block is going to have a rather high % of 2022 Major winners living on it!
LOL that one of the autograph seekers is holding a 'Jeongeun Lee Hwaiting' sign.
In Gee seems like a fragile, sensitive person who has gone through a lot, and in the process has become tougher. She's still fragile, but she has learned how to hwait. She showed some real grit on that back nine, going 1 under after nearly blowing it completely. And yet the grit came in the distinctly In Gee way: smiling a lot and waving to fans, not pumping fists, shouting, etc. You just know she would have proudly owned her performance win or lose.
We know that Eun Hee Ji is the oldest Korean to win an event, but who is the oldest to win a Major? I'm guessing it's Inky, who was 28 or 29 when she won the British in '17. Se Ri was 28 I believe when she won her final Major in 2006, and So Yeon was 26 when she won the '17 ANA. I think Inbee was 27 when she won her latest Major back in 2015 (I'm doing this from memory).
In Gee is 27 and nearly 28. I know, it's hard to believe she's already that age, but she's one of the few Sisters to grab a big event after 25.
Meanwhile, who had the largest gap between Major wins? Inbee went nearly five years between her first and second Major. So Yeon went close to six between her two wins. In Gee also went between five and six years between her last two Majors. I think she might have the record there if So Yeon doesn't.
