Too big to fail Thompson in another hot spot with the rules. She benefited from the carefully chosen words and headlines of her industrial complex enablers. The R&A ruled no penalty because she ultimately didn't improve her lie, despite Lexi's best attempt to do so. The grass sprang back into place after she tamped it down in back of her ball. So even though she clearly cheated, there was no penalty because her inept attempt was unsuccessful. This is like a bank robber not getting arrested because he didn't get any cash when he robbed the bank. The GIC is odious. The emperor has no clothes.

Less than a third of the golf she plays in a typical tournament is televised. If she's been caught twice doing this on camera, how many more times is she doing it when she isn't being closely watched? Boy, you do not want to have a rep as a cheater. If I were her I'd start a full apology tour right away before that rep starts to follow her.

There were lots of changes in Rolex Ranking. However I guess it will be more big changes after the ANA.
Sophia Popov jumped 280 spots to 24. She may not get into the ANA because she wasn't a Member of the LPGA. She also doesn't qualify for the Women's Open. Because of the Tournament changes they had to make this year. She wont be a Member until 2021. They still may find a way to get her in.
Inbee Park jumped 4 spots to 8. Minjee Lee jumped 2 spots to 3. In Gee Chun jumped 9 spots to 52.
So Yeon didn't play but she did jump 1 spot to 13. Jeong Eun Lee6 stayed the same because Inbee jumped to eight. She did moved ahead of Lexi Thompson who dropped 2 spots to 12.
*ANA has one invitee open space left

Knowing how intelligent her dad is (one of the smartest guys I have talked to out there) I doubt it's the latter.

Not sure how to make sense of this result. The way Sophia Popov played in Marathon Classic and AIG Women's Open; may be she'll win 2020 Player of the Year award. Although, I'm not sure there'll be such an award this year. I'm told there will be all the usual awards except Rookie of the year.

I'm told there will be all the usual awards except Rookie of the year. Why isn't there a Rookie of The Year Award. However my pick for ROY Yui Kawamoto can't make cuts.

With a limited schedule, LPGA was concerned that rookies wouldn't have enough playing opportunities to warrant the award. It turns out to be the opposite; it's the top players who've skipped most or all of the restart events.

Yeah, they aren't even showing points for the Rookie race. Too bad, I bet Andrea Lee is the surprising leader right now.

Momoko Ueda returned to Haneda Airport on Tuesday ... will tee it up again at the JLPGA Championship/Konica Minolta Cup on Sept. 10-13.

I have been told that the 2020 rookies will retain their status and be rookies again in 2021. I don't believe there will be any new rookies next year. With no Q-school this year the best college players will have no chance to play on the LPGA Tour next year. Not sure what they are doing with the top 10 finishers on the Symetra Tour.

tonyj500 Top-5 Symetra Tour players will be promoted to LPGA. But, they’ll be assigned with priorities in #180-190 range; won’t get many playing opportunities. The provision is they play at least 9 events. Edit: I've just counted, they'll play a total of 8 events; making the earlier statement irrelevant.
