Haha, finally an In Gee Chun believer! Gabriela is an amateur alright, but she's still one year older than both Yujeong Son and Yealimi Noh. Yes, but Gabriela took up golf only six years ago, at the age of fourteen. Before that she was a top Amateur Tennis player like her mother. She gave up Tennis and later decided to go to a driving Range and give Golf a try. I say she has done great for the limited time that she has even played Golf. She needs to improve on her short game from around twenty five yards. Every other part of her game is solid. Don't get me wrong, Gabriela is a tremendous golfer and I've been following her a lot. But don't sugarcoat, +8 isn't a good score; she's much much better than that. She'll redeem herself tomorrow.

Inbee needs to do a little better. As long as her husband doesn't rake his hand in a bunker, she should be fine.

Why is everyone always picking on Lexi? You'd think she was trying to cheat or something. golfweek.usatoday.com/2020/08/21/ra-lexi-thompson-rules-violation-british-womens-openiroyal-troon/The R&A has released a statement regarding Lexi Thompson’s actions on the 16th hole in the first round of the AIG Women’s British Open at Royal Troon. As Thompson set up to hit her second shot on the par 5, she used her club to poke at a tuft of grass situated behind her ball...
Thompson went on to birdie the 16th hole, her only birdie in an opening round of 78.

Speaking of under the radar; I'd to look long and hard for this picture of Yealimi Noh

Inbee Park shot the round of the morning: a 2 under par 69. She finished with a bang. That moved her from 88th to T21st (at this moment; will probably improve), and five out of the lead at +4. Fantastic! Minjee Lee also shot a 69 but is just two back at +1. Lydia also at +1. Yealimi Noh is lurking at 3 over (her day is done), but Amy Yang fell back to 7 over. Will probably make the cut, but might be out of it. Danielle Kang is at 8 over but that, too, should make the cut. In Gee has a few more holes to go. Has two doubles and two birdies through 13 holes, four back. Dumbo hwaiting!!! Sisters Hwaiting!

All Minjee Lee needs to have are ten to twenty feet birdie putts. She is a lot better at those than the five to ten feet putts.

Great round by Inbee Park, two more rounds to make it happen.
Yui Kawamoto another missed cut. I didn't expect her to win but I thought that she would play better. Another no birdie round for her. I guess the Veteran Caddie wasn't much help either. Maybe that's why he has been let go so many times.
A much better round by Gabriele Ruffels plus two. She finished with five straight pars after making bogey on thirteen. She needed to make just one birdie to make the cut. Still a great rebound to come within one below the cut. I guess she was low Amateur, even though she missed the cut.
Another note, Jeong Eun Lee6 will jump Lexi Thompson to top ten Rolex Ranking. They were in a virtual tie, with Lexi Thompson having percentage points lead.

Dr. Noh has two pics on Getty Images from Round Two ... which is two more than what MHL (T-21) has. Just in case, I looked up Minjee Lee also, but all I saw was Minjee Lee.
*******
The ECP bombed out ... what's with the shades? There's no sunlight in Scotland.

In Gee during round 2. She had two more bogies after I cursed her, and finished at +5, one shot behind Inbee in 21st place. Not great, but she still has an outside chance at this. But she'll have to be really good on moving day. Always rooting for her!

Round Three has started and there are some red numbers among the early starters, like -2 for Altomare, Yan, Ueda and Reid.
*********** Who is there to move or make noise? Oh, and the same to you, lady.

For a so-called professional major championship, there sure are a lot of unfamiliar names, amateur-looking swings, and pushcarts.

Wow, Minjee Lee really stands out on that leaderboard amongst the also-rans, doesn't she? She and Lydia are still very much in it.
Decent day for In Gee, but she probably needed a little more of a turbo boost to give herself a chance. At this moment she's T-14th after a 70, with 16/18 GIR and 283 yard driving. +4, 7 back, leader -3 but the clubhouse leader is +1, and if the lead at day's end is around -1 or even, she still has a fighting chance.
More painful for Inbee, who got to +1 only to make double on the 9th. She's also at +4, but you can never count out the intimidation factor if she goes on an early run tomorrow.
Sisters hwaiting!
