They showed the drives at the par-5 5th for the Kang/Hataoka/Hull group...a really good hole for a short par-5. I videoed Kang's driver swing at the 2013 Shop-Rite pro-am, which I have running on continuous loop on my PC (she had the iconic TaylorMade R1 driver)...her drive at #5 today looks identical...she went full-tilt on both swings. However, her drive at #6 did not have as long a backswing and her finish was abbreviated...still finished in the fairway.
*****
The broadcasters are buying Mi Hyang being -2 for the day thru 11 holes, even though her scorecard says +1.

This is like the women’s Masters. It’s got the enthusiasm.

One week later, an epic rematch between #1 and #2. Ariya bogeyed three of her first seven holes yet still turned in a 67. She won't make that mistake again.
Namdalla should be getting used to playing with Ariya. She'll be battling her at the top of the rankings for years.

Can In Gee cling to Top 10 with her dear life!
Ariya, Sung Hyun and Minjee are given.

It's comedic when In Gee shanked her chip from one side of the green to the other side at #11 for a double.
It's happened often during In Gee's winless span that she inexplicably killed her momentum with something weird. The double at 11 happened right after she made two long birdie putts at 9th and 10th.
Human mind is brittle, that's why winners are different.

The locals don't even know who MHL is...after her poor first round, I can't find one pic from her strong second round...but they watched Xiang Sui swirling down the tubes.

philknjXiang Sui's goal is not to finish DFL; she's 10 shots ahead of Mariah Stackhouse.

Jack Nicklaus's contour greens have given Yealimi Noh fits; but it should be a great learning experience.
Justin Rose missed his first 17 cuts when he turned pro at 17 after he finished 4th at 1998 Open. Yealimi has a long way to go!

Despite the mistakes; this's In Gee's best chance to win for a while.
She didn't dip in her 2nd round. Her fans are behind her, her ball striking is good and she's been putting well.
She can get back into the picture with a round of 65 or better.

Lexi, Anna Nordqvist and In Gee are fallen angels of 2018.
Lexi is the youngest and her rebound is to be expected; but it's a critical juncture for Anna now that she's 31.
I expect In Gee to win again, but she'll never live up to my expectation from her 2015 results.
