The two players who really need to play well didn't; Yealimi +4 and Lucky 6 +5. Both started terribly but steadied towards the end.
Not all are lost; it's no cut and they have 3 more rounds to correct themselves.
The player who need to avoid DFL did; Xiang Sui is -1.

It will do wonders for Xiang Sui if she can stick around Top 10.
She's 6.92 Rolex ranking points; she can double that if she finishes solo 10th or better.
It will move her from world 400th to inside top 270; more importantly, it will move her from No. 9 to No. 5 in China.

Amy Olson maintains her good form from Evian; she can be the new American star if she manages to win one or two tournaments.

She should finally make it on TV tonight if she can keep up with her playing partners.

Hana could be the dark horse in this event. . .if she wins, would she consider coming back to the LPGA?. . .

Decent start for Jin Young Ko, two birdies and one bogey. She was hitting greens but not close enough to be legitimate birdie putts. She doesn't make those chip ins and twenty and thirty foot putts, like other players. By the way she is paired with Bronte Law and her former caddie again. I hope she plays better than the last time, with them.
So Young Lee had another bad back nine like she had at the Hite Jinro . She shot one over on the front, but six over on the back nine.
Great to see Ji Hyun Kim near the top, maybe she will be shown.

This is Fashion Week on the LPGA tour. Really is the biggest event of the year. We're at the home of women's golf.

I like the pairing that Miss Oh has with Marina and Lexi. . .same for Lucky 6 who's paired with Jessica and Emma. . .but Jin Young is a worrisome pairing though she'll be OK with Sei Young, but as you say she sorted folded the last time she was paired with Bronte. . . Bronte has been playing well of late but the drama of her former caddie is something she needs to overcome. . .of the three top pairings that will likely be highlighted, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Ji Hyun Kim and Hana(who IMG likes). . .of the Minjee and Sung Hyun pairing, don't be surprised if Yu Liu stays with them. . .I remember in Texas a few months back she was on fire, lights out and I thought at the time, this is Shan Shan's replacement. . .

What a difference a day makes; Yealimi Noh was +6 over her first 8 holes yesterday, she birdied her first hole today.

Scores are better than yesterday; average score is only a tiny fraction over par.

Are you sure? It says MHL is -3 on the day thru 8 holes, but when you click on her name it shows her to be +2 on the day thru 8 holes. It also has an asterisk next to her name, but her scorecard says she started on the 1st hole, not the 10th hole.

LPGA's leaderboard has a bug for players starting from the 10th tee.
