Tonyj5, Pak Picker? You guys are still playing that? Amazing. I remember tallying up the scores on a spreadsheet. I wonder if Simie is still playing. I've lost interest in LPGA as SeRi Pak declined in rankings. But after Inbee Park's run at the grand slam perked up my interest again, I've begun watching LPGA. It is amazing, there are so many Korean ethnic golfers now. I might not be able to contribute much to the board, but I'll chime in here and there. Happy to see some familiar names on this board.

Liz Salas dropped out with a bad back. Karlin Beck replaced her and is -3 after 17 holes. The usual photo sources are slow out of the gate...nothing to post from today. Sun Young Yoo at the pro-am

Round one Not much time to post today. Just some quick thoughts. Mirim Lee is not the most consistent golfer, but she can be deadly if you get her on a course she likes. Great round by her today. In Gee Chun at 4 under!!! Way cool! Inbee and Hyo Joo are both right in the hunt again, and with Ko and Lewis also up there, this could be another big clash this weekend if they all hold form. Ugh, another poor start by Q Baek. Se Ri at 3 under, though, and Ha Na Jang and So Yeon Ryu did OK with 70s. Hee Kyung Seo 9 over. She has a long road back it seems. Go Sisters!!!

Nice rd by Pressel...but IMO....I don't see her contend on the back nine come Sunday afternoon.
Looks like another HJK, Lewis and Ko showdown (Ko didn't putt well today) and if Inbee can ignite her putter...it will be The Big Four.

Vicky Hurst return from injury wasn't a successful one.
WTF....what's up with Christine Song....hanging on the LPGA due to a medical...yikes.
She was 30 strokes off the cut....a 183 yd driving avg today.....13/28 fairways and 10/36 GIR's.
She finished 90, 88, 89/88 in 3 consecutive events in 2014....hadn't won a dime on the LPGA in 2013/2014 and has only won $36k in 5 years on the LPGA.
At what point does finishing DFL or near DFL missing the cuts sometimes by a long shot become embarrassing for her???
Rich parents??...why would Hanwha sponsor her?

Wie plays in fear....I think she hit hybrid off 18 and left herself 190 in and then nearly misses the cut. Yet....fearless HJK hits driver.....leaving her a short iron in...sticks it to 8 feet and drains it for birdie.
HJK also hit driver last week on a hole where the fairway pinches in at the landing area....love HJK's aggressive style and pulls off the shots.

I am really surprised by Mingee Lee's start this year. I did not expect her to win early. I did think that she would at least have top twenty finishes. It's early maybe she will turn it around.
M J Hur is also having a horrible start this year. It's not her putting, because she is still in top ten in putting average.

She had such a beautiful swing. Now she changes her swing so much, I bet she confuses herself. All the top players repeat their swing over and over, and do not try to impress people, by trying different swings. I also remember when she lost to Sun Young Yoo in the Sebase Match Play Championship. She was out driving her by forty yards. I realized then that she did not have what it's takes to be a top players.

Probably signed the Hanwha sponsorship two years ago. Keep in mind, this is a player that won twice on the Symetra Tour just two years ago. I don't know what has happened since then. Twitter is no help, either - she tweets once every two months, if that. I understand that I shouldn't be piling on here, but she can't break 80. Enough is enough.

Round 2 Haven't been able to watch the coverage the past few days, so I'm just going by leaderboard watching while I make these comments! So far doesn't seem like one of the better events for the Sisters, but there are still two rounds left, and enough of them near the top that some could yet make a big run. Mirim Lee is obviously continuing to shine. Interesting that she nearly won a few weeks ago, then finished close to last among those who made the cut in Phoenix, and now she's near the top again. Hyo Joo continues to play top notch, consistent golf. She just seems to be waiting for her moment to seize the day. Maybe it will come tomorrow or Sunday? Stay tuned! In Gee Chun cooled off in round 2, but is still just six back. She could fade again like she has the past few events, or perhaps she can charge like she did at the Hana Bank. I'd love to see her make a run. Go In Gee! Inbee seems to be doing her usual B Game shtick, hitting a lot of greens, not making a lot of putts. But you never know when those putts could start to fall. Only four back! More bummed that So Yeon has not built on her win in China. 7 back. But you know, she was 7 back after two rounds in China, too. The biggest surprise to me so far has been Alison Lee. Yeah, I know she was a big college star, but how many college stars have done anything the past few years? Speaking of which, look who is t-12th - Jennifer Song. I would love to see her finally start to achieve at the level she seemed likely to reach a few years ago! Go Sisters!!! More pix: Mirim Hyo Joo Inbee Ha Na Jang five back Mi Hyang Na Yeon Se Ri NYC & So Yeon Ryu Sei Young Kim Q Baek; still not shining, but did make the cut Il Hee Lee

I realized then that she did not have what it's takes to be a top players. There was so much pressure on Wie to dominate...so she's been looking for answers via changes....which isn't happening. Yes...if length was all that mattered...Wie, Korda, Piller, Lexi, Ciganda, Bam Bam would be dominating....and it's not happening. We had evidence today how sloppy Lexi's short game was today...yet she's been focusing her short game practice all last week. A handicapper on WRX has noted that most of the great female golfers within the last 2 decades have been around 5'6"....Annika, Se Ri, Karrie, Lorena....now Ko, Inbee, Lewis and HJK....hmmm....coincidence???....I think not. I also think MW is injury prone....her back will give out sooner or later....look at the back strain trying to practice putting table top style.
