Round 4 I finally got a chance to watch one of the rounds of this tournament, and to me it felt like the whole time Cristie was going to win this. I just had a feeling, and alas I was right. Now, I'm no fan of Kerr's, but it's hard to complain given the fact that I've gotten to see so many great Korean wins lately. And the leaderboard was Kerr and 7 Sisters (two from outside the motherland, but still). Normally packing a leaderboard like that and not getting the win is uber frustrating, but given that there were some good rounds in that top seven, all in all I'm coming out with a pretty good feeling going into the Major. Mirim really couldn't make the putts she needed to make down the stretch. I counted three birdies that came close but didn't go. Then she makes that amazing eagle, which would have been a candidate for shot of the year had it led to something. The next hole was a par 5, and all bomber Lee had to do was get the ball in the fairway and she had a good birdie chance. But she hit it into the trees and that was that. Even a par on that hole, which she still had a chance for after hitting her ball from the sticks, would have given her a shot on 18 after Kerr bogied. Alas, not to be, but still a great week for Mirim! And it sets her up nicely for a tournament I think she has a real chance of winning with her length. Other positives: Hyo Joo makes eagle on 16 and cruises to her third straight top ten. She's now second in ROY behind Sei Young Kim. She really lost this one in the third round. Ha Na Jang also gets to t-6th, and is now 4th in ROY standings. Nice words about Se Ri on the broadcast, and she got a top ten. I sure hope she can finally win the ANA. Jennifer Song had a great week, but missed out on a top ten with that sloppy missed par save on 18. Inky had her first top 20 of the year I think. Redemption at ANA in the works? For a brief moment Inbee was in the hunt, but that needless bogey on 13 killed all her momentum. Still, she finished just one place behind Ko and continues breathing down her neck. She leads the league in GIR. If she could just start making more putts again, she would OWN this tour. Downsides: Terrible week for Q Baek again. She has not been able to get anything going so far. But she is very green, so I'm still holding out hope we will see something in the next few events. In Gee had her worst finish yet in this stretch, t-50th. Like Baek, she needs to get used to playing these types of events outside of Korea. I'm sure it will come. So Yeon was surprisingly off this week. Save it for the Major!!! Not sure: Still not sure what I feel about Alison Lee. She obviously has some talent, but she's a SoCal gal, so playing in her neck of the woods is probably a big bonus. She's an incomplete until I see her start kicking it outside of the southwest. Nice job for the Sisters. Always HWAITING! Pix: Mirim Alison Lee Hyo Joo Inbee Se Ri Ha Na In Gee

Bummer that Mirim doubled seventeen. Anyway a very good tournament for her.
However, Christie Kerr played great to win the tournament. She may talk to the ball, but I see her as the ultimate grinder.
Good finishes by the "Sisters" you can't win them all.
