A few round one thoughts. - Too bad Heo had to drop out, but the other two KLPGA stars had really good/borderline great first rounds. Jung Min Lee sits quietly (as she often does) at even, while In Gee Chun is at 2 under. In Gee has Herden on her bag? I can't even tell you how happy that made me to hear! They could be a great combination, and I'm rooting hard for her. - Nice start for Inbee at 2 under; too bad the weather prevented her from finishing. NYC also strong in an interrupted round. - Amy got her business done early, 3 under. She is a beast at this event, so she bears watching for sure. - So far so good for Q Baek and Hyo Joo, both still waiting to finish round one. - The only slight bummer on day one was So Yeon Ryu at 2 over, but even that is only 6 back, and I look for her to regroup and do well on Friday. - Sei Young and Ha Na Jang at 2 over; not great, but Ha Na is surviving the jet lag OK (having played in China last week), and Sei Young is handling caddiegate so far. Minjee Lee Hee Young Park Hwaiting!!!

I know I always make fun how the Yanks don't care for women's golf....but I have been really impressed with the galleries and we have yet to see the weekend crowds.
And the galleries seem to be all over the course and it's hilly....what Pennsylvania is absent of obese Mericans?
Many US events are poorly attended including the 2013 & 2012 (though heat was a factor) USWO events.
Seems like the Lancaster community has really come out to support the event.....I assume many are travelling from Philly, NJ and Baltimore too?

If figure out how to use my camera phone can I apply for credentials? The laws are changing here. I think an older guy has access to the locker room at USGA events. Before you have your morning Viagra/Cialis smoothie? I had a chance to be a security vol and stand in front of the entrance to the women's locker room for 6 hr shifts at the 2003 BMO CWO...NOT....that would have been the most boring job......I vol'd on the maintenance crew...the best role...had my own golf cart and my main job was to keep 6 tee blocks filled with ice and water....I basically had my work done in 90 minutes and could cruise around in a cart with access inside the ropes watching golf during my shift. Grace Park was waiting on a tee and sat in the cart with me for a minute...we chatted about life in Phoenix and Prada shoes....Grace is SO SWEET!....supper cool young lady.

Watching Greg Johnston's arrogance when Kerr was asking for relief from what she thought was a wasp's burrow in the bunker verifies these two are a match made in heaven.
I can't believe Amy and Lexi employed him.

Tony and Phil Considering you'll likely never see her again...why no pics or discussion about Maria Balikoeva...did you watch her play?
Phil...why no talk about your gal, Erika?....again....likely the only time you'll see her.

Yes yes yes, of course I followed EK and Maria B. for a few holes on Thursday...and who says I won't see EK at the 2017 USWO at Trump National? She qualified easily this year and I doubt she'll be washed up in 2017...and I hope she drags Bo Mee Lee with her. Erika was invited to practice with LPGA royalty on Wednesday: It took 55 minutes before Fox Sports finally showed Mi Hyang today and her "tangerine" ball. Her coverage has been extremely minimal, but she won't go away...just two shots back. Brad Faxon loved her address position at the par-3 12th and noticed her fitness...sorry Brad, I have a senior tenured position on Team Mi Hyang...the best I can give you is a ceremonial associate position.

I'm hoping the 2017 venue will spur Ochoa to return. Although Trump probably won't allow her on the grounds. She might rob the place.

Great round by Amy. Sei Young got off to a slow start. However as always she did not let it bother her. She had five birdies in a row on the back nine.
So Yeon had a solid day ball striking. Just wish that she could have made a few more birdie putts,on back nine. Anyway she putted better than yesterday.
In Gee and Jung Min are still in the hunt, at minus two and even. Hyo Joo did not have a good day, however she may still make the cut.

So, um, Christina Kim is currently drunk and snapping at fans on Twitter. This can't end well.

I have given up on trying to understand the third round pairing.
Is there somewhere posted to indicate where the cut will be made. Looking at the Leaded board toward the end of the round. It showed that the cut will be top seventy and ties. Now the cut is shown to be the top sixty and ties.
Too me, unlike the PGA the LPGA has no rules as far as that's concerned. It looks like the just make things up. If they have it written somewhere I can't find them.

In all US Opens (mens, womens, and seniors) the cut is Top 60 and ties. It used to be top 60, ties, and anyone within 10 of the leader, but they got rid of that last part in 2012.

Thanks I was only going by what I saw on the Leaderboard. I am traveling and are not able to watch the tournament on TV. So my computer is my only source. I probably knew that at one time. I guess that I should not rely on the Leaderboard for accurate information.
One good thing I got to see So Yeon's pairing on my computer. So that was great.

SYR. That was pretty pure on the last few holes. Not many players can do that.

Some round 2 thoughts - Wow, I have to admit that Hyo Joo missing the cut was not something I was expecting. Not only has she never finished outside the top 30 in all the LPGA events she has ever played (dating back to 2012), she won just last week in China. But perhaps the jet lag coming from half way round the world was too much for her? - Amy is playing some great golf. She is once again playing well in a Major, perhaps off to her best start ever. But the real challenge for her has always been the weekend. Can she keep it going over the next two days and win an event she has long seemed fated to win? Go for it, girl! - Inbee silently sits, waiting to strike. She got her business done early today, and though she has five shots to make up, she is pretty much exactly where she needs to be to make a serious run. - Love that In Gee Chun is still right in the think of things. Man alive, do I want to see her in the hunt come Sunday! Keep up the great work, In Gee! - Great comebacks by So Yeon Ryu and Sei Young Kim to put themselves in this thing. Guess Kim didn't need the pin positions ahead of time after all, did she? - Lovely to see Q Baek and Jung Min Lee at 1 over and still with a shot. GO LADIES! Sisters HWAITING!!!!! Some more pix: Amy Yang Inbee Park In Gee Chun Q Baek Sei Young Kim Mi Hyang Lee Mirim Lee Hyo Joo Kim Chella Choi Na Yeon Choi Ha Na Jang Minjee Lee
