You have to love Lydia, her gut is almost as big as mine.WTF....lol. Did you notice Ko was putting standard grip on longer putts and left hand low on shorter putts...we also saw this in previous years. Lydia is so pure with her choked down 5 hybrid...she never hits a shot hard...always within herself....I saw this back in 2012 too. GO KO!!!! Go Kiwi!!!

I was totally wrong about Lydia and I apologize. She is fantastic and the best thing to happen to the tour in a long time. She really is wise beyond her years. She totally gets that this is the best course the women will play all year although Turnberry is pretty nice. Perhaps this will end up being the 6th major or 5th major if they decide to shut down the ANA.

mr3putt: Thanks for giving me an excuse to study NYC pix on Getty Images going back to 2008. She's been with Callaway the whole time. She has Callaway Apex Pro irons now and in 2014. It appears she had the latest Callaway X-Forged sticks in 2013. I say "appears" because the black Callaway lettering and logo are missing or covered over...maybe for contractual reasons from a competitor...or maybe they're custom prototypes. Can Charley read the line with those shades?

I've got to love the broadcast falling right into primetime here on the West Coast. The greens were very quick and difficult to land on. So Yeon could not figure them out all day yesterday. She shot better today but not nearly enough to make the cut.
It's looking like Ha-Na Jang and Lydia Ko are going to battle it out again in the final group tomorrow.

Actually, So Yeon did make the cut, although she is not going to look back fondly on this result I imagine. The leaderboard is not a good one for the Koreans after a great start for the year. But props to Ha Na Jang for a great start to her week! I wish she would have been in the broadcast window yesterday, but hopefully we'll be seeing a lot of her this weekend. Go Ha Na! Also a nice day for Amy Yang, and she grew up in Australia, so hopefully she can feed on her memories to help her this weekend. Unfortunately, Kwak and Il Hee Lee both shot in the 80s and plunged down the leaderboard, but Mi Hyang Lee is still five back and possibly in position to be a factor. Q Baek did manage to shoot her first under-par round of the season, a 1 under par 72, and is now sitting at +3, tied for 35th. She isn't going to win, but I hope she can build on this and start to be more of a factor in the coming months. Just four shots out of a top ten at the moment! So Yeon shot a 1 over par and still made the cut T-59th; Mini-Rocket Ju Young Park also is at that total. Some other gals who could still be a factor are Minjee Lee at +1 (Su Oh missed the cut) and Chella Choi also at +1. Weirdly, they are playing twosomes tomorrow, not threesomes. Any idea why? Anyway, Ha Na is in the final group with Ko, and Jutanugarn is paired with Hull. Should be an interesting third round. GO SISTERS!!!

Come late Sunday...I expect Lydia, Webb, Korda and the Hulk (Ha Na Jang) to contend. Ariya patience and wild play may take her out of contention. Hopefully Charley learned from her mistakes from last week. So everyone I mentioned is in the mix after 36 holes, except for Webb. I like The Hulk & Lydia to be at the top of the pack after 54 holes. The danger of this course could lead to an unexpected winner come Sunday.....I suspect luck will play a greater role vs. other events come Sunday.

I think they play 3somes when weather or daylight is a issue....so I don't think they have daylight issues down under.

Two rounds down. Everything is telling me that Lydia has this tournament in her hand, but there is a small part of me that thinks Ariya is going to walk away with this one. Of course, given that Ariya is Ariya, I don't make any prediction until she's on the green on the 72nd hole.

Absolutely inexcusable that H. Jang threw her club. She needs to model her game after Se Ri not Webb. I expect a well deserved fine. Lydia is going to bury her.

Man, I have not been enjoying this tournament. Well, things have gone pretty well so far this year, so I can't complain. I'll confess I gave up watching round three after Jang's meltdown on that one hole. I have never seen her toss a club before; she must have been incredibly frustrated. Although I still think she has a chance for a good finish, I think the few bad holes she had at the end of round three finished her for this week unfortunately, even though she is still theoretically within range. The pluses: Amy Yang has played well; it felt like she left several putts out there today or she would have been in the lead. If she can get through the first few holes without losing any ground, I think her nerves will calm and she has a chance. She isn't a great closer by any means; but she is good on tough courses, and with her skill she is well overdue a win or two. GO AMY! Shout out to Q Baek, who managed to break her best round as an LPGA member for the second straight day. She shot a 71, 2 under, and moved into the top 20. She has no chance of winning, but I'm hoping she can rally to a top ten and put herself onto the radar of the Rookie race. So Yeon also shot a 71 to move to 3 over, while there are a gaggle of Sisters who could manage top 20s or top 10s with good days tomorrow. NYC, Chella, Minjee, Il Hee, etc. Good luck to the Sisters. Fighting!

GO SISTERS!!! It is summer in Australia so there is plenty of daylight for conventional two-ball once the cut has been made. They started the week with 156 players and had no trouble getting them around the course the first two days.Kevin

It will get dark about 7:30 pm, its coming up to the autumn time in Australia but they have no twilight light we have in the UK. Amy is a good bet for tomorrow.
