What's this sudden confusion over whether Ryu is #1 or not? Everyone said prior this tourney, win and she's top.

WOOOO! Congrats to So Yeon Ryu on an epic record-breaking win. So thrilled to see her hang on and pull it off! She didn't have her A Game today, but she did what she had to do to hold off Amy for the win. Amy prevented So Yeon from winning earlier this year in Thailand, so it's only fitting that Ryu returned the favor here! Lots of highlights for So Yeon this week, but the one that stands out was that 61 on Saturday. I think she might be the only Korean to ever shoot 61 twice, but I'd have to check to be sure. Anyway, Sunday was in some ways even more impressive. Stuck with Lewis, the local fave, she kept her head as Yang charged, and even an unexpected bogey did not derail her as she made a bounceback birdie immediately. This is now the first time in her career she has won twice in one season, but the first time in 2017 she gets to be the main story, unlike at ANA. I sure hope she gets to #1, but even if she doesn't, she'll be #2 again, the first time she has been ahead of Lydia in years. Good top tens also for Inbee, Minjee, and Chella Choi after a 64. But the kudos mainly go to So Yeon and her awesomeness! Three former #1s in this group from Saturday! Congrats again, So Yeon!!! HWAITING!!!

Ko's finished...she'll be well out of the top 5 by Dec 31/2017.

What's particularly great about this win for So Yeon is that this is exactly the kind of situation she has bungled in the past. She played great for two rounds like a superstar, and then when things weren't going well on Sunday, she did what she had to do to maintain the win and grab the brass ring. I'm looking forward to seeing if she can maintain and extend her lead at the top in the weeks to come, but she answered a big question today, and with style!

More Yank racism. SYR stuffs her shot to 5 feet on 17....the loudest hole on the LPGA...LMAO...and it's CRICKETS from the gallery.
Ms. Pouty Face is classless...she should have held back and allowed SYR the glory of accepting the gallery applaud approaching the 18th green....instead...Lewis walks ahead of SYR onto the green....this deserves a fine by Whan.
4waymiss...if not for your post....I never would have seen Mr. Orange's name on SYR's bag....supposedly SYR is a very intelligent young lady.

What a pitch and putt setup....too many gals using hybrids off the tee and a 254 yards par 4 on 10 without any trouble on the shot into the green....Whan needs to do something or be fired....OK...OK...it might have been a decision by Octagon.

Congrats to SYR on the win and the new #1...well deserved. SYR as many on this site know..... she's one of the classiest pros and as Foltzy described..."Elegant"
In 2012, a random gent sat down at our table at a golf tournament....I loved listening to him rip into the Phony Pink Diva for being really stuck up. SYR went very low in the pro-am draw...an early morning tee time didn't help...but his group chose SYR and said she was a DOLL...and he said the group would chose SYR again in a heartbeat.

I'm pretty sure SYR is playing TT Dynamic Golds....very rare on the LPGA. Can anyone list another LPGA pro who has played Dynamic Golds?
BTW....2 wins today for McCormick with whiny Spieth holing out his bunker shot in the 1st playoff hole. Spieth is very good at closing...8 for 9 with the 54 hole lead.
Tina and Kylie....hopefully you get the hint and track down McCormick.
