I hope Jin Young gets off to a better start, because the competition is getting tougher. She has fallen behind all three rounds and had to rally to win second nine. Although it's a lot better than being ahead early and losing late. Both Inbee and Jin Young are playing people who have recently won on the KLPGA, so it won't be a cakewalk.

Well Jin Young couldn't rally on back nine this time, after being two down front nine. She lost three and two to Min Ji Park.
In Gee is all square going into eighteen. My pick to win Player of The Year Hae Rym Kim, won her match two up over Ji Hyun Oh..

The Final is set and the broadcast skipped over the first two holes. IB Park vs. Char Young Kim 2 (Kim is one-up as both players are on the par-3 3rd hole in regulation). Kim changed her outfit from pants to skirt/knee highs. Winbee beat Seung Hyun Lee 4&2, while Kim beat Hae Rim Kim (20 holes).

Which rd did the Mini Rocket get bounced and how badly did she get beat? She finished pool play with a record of 2-0-1, but so did Min Ji Park, who won the sudden death playoff between the two for the top spot in their group and a ticket to the round of 16. Eight of the groups required a sudden death stroke play playoff to determine the winner; one of those eight (group 16) involved three players and was one of three to require two holes to decide it.

Championship match, par 5 12th with Inbee 2 down and bunkered off the tee, requiring her to lay up. Char Young Kim 2 reached in 2 and has 4-5 feet for eagle. Inbee ALMOST HOLES OUT FOR EAGLE from the fairway and is conceded her birdie. Kim converts her eagle to go 3 up.

On 14, Inbee hit her approach to about 5 feet. Char Young nearly jarred it, it bounced off to the side, then kept slowly rolling and rolling until it went all the way off the green. Wow, seriously bad break! Kim two putted after putting her birdie try to within tap in range.
So Inbee had an 8 footer for the win and not only missed the hole, she blew it by like five feet. Thankfully she saved par, but what a missed chance to get one back!
I wouldn't be surprised if Inbee is tired. This is her 7th round this week, and fitness is not exactly her strong suit. It does look like Kim is going to pull off a major upset, barring a catastrophic collapse.

It's official... Char Young Kim upset Queen Bee 3 & 2! For Kim, this is her first win on the tour since her three win season of 2012. When Kyeong Bae interviewed her after the round, she was quite emotional, holding back tears. Char Young comes across as a cool customer usually, so it was interesting to see. As for Inbee, once again she comes up short in her bid to finally win one in front of her home fans. This was her 6th runner up finish at a KLPGA tournament. Maybe next time she should play a four round tournament rather than something as exhausting as this? Regardless, a great week for her, just a little short of what she needed. Hae Rym Kim took the consolation against Seung Hyun Lee 3 & 2, winning the final three holes. Congrats to everyone! Char Young Kim Semifinals Inbee Park Seung Hyun Lee

Nothing against In Bee, but I thought she caught a break when Char Young beat Hae Rym. Hae Rym were the better player, however Char Young was better that day. One of Inbee problems playing KLPGA courses, is her low ball flight. She were out driven by almost every player she faced. The KLPGA courses are hilly and requires a high ball flight with not much run out. The greens run out, which hurts a low ball flight as well.
Anyway congratulation to Char Young for a great win.
