Majors are more important to LPGA ranking than PGA. In LPGA, regular tournaments only garner 25-60% weights of majors. In PGA, there are 5 tournaments (Players and 4 WGC's) garner 70-80% weight of majors.

Mirim Lee earned 64.91 for her win; the highest point outside of a Major, which is 100.00.
So Yeon moved to No. 3; a reward for her incredible streak since after 2016 KEB Hana Bank.

Ariya is all alone in 2nd place. About 1.4 points behind Ko, and ahead of So Yeon Ryu by about the same margin.
Did you know, that one year ago, Ariya was the 53rd ranked golfer in the world?

Cristie Kerr earned 50.22 for her win; in line with my expectation.
In Gee finally got her score to go up; but she desperately needs a win to join the battle for No. 1.

JLPGA major wasn't worth much; Lexi remained 0.1 behind In Gee.

Wait a minute. I thought with So Yeon Ryu missing the cut at ShopRite, Ariya Jutanugarn was guaranteed to be the no. 1 player this week. Instead Lydia Ko still leads by .01 point.

Both Ha Na Jang and Amy Yang quietly slipped out of top 10; Ha Na will be out of top 20 in no time while it'll be tough for Amy to return to top 10.

I didn't think Asian Giraffe was capable of winning again, but she's been impressive the last few months. RR #186 in February, moved up all the way to #33 this week.

I didn't think Asian Giraffe was capable of winning again, but she's been impressive the last few months. RR #186 in February, moved up all the way to #33 this week. That's the fun of following Wiezy. She may win the USWO next month and then fell off the face of the earth again, while continuing to come up with stupid looking techniques in her game. One thing for sure, there's never a dull moment.
