A field of 120 tees off Thursday, including Dumbo, MHL, and Mika Miyazato. The top-60 and ties make the cut. They're playing at Karasuyamajo CC about 70 miles north of Tokyo. It opened in 1974 with three nine-hole courses. Japan's TV sked: [Live at NHK, BS1] 9/29 (Thursday) 13:00-15:10 (BS1), 15:10-16:50 (General) 9/30 (Friday) 13:00-15:10 (BS1), 15:10-16:50 (General) 10/1 (Saturday) 13:50-16:00 (General) 10/2 (Sunday) 13:05-16:00 (General) I have a link for NHK, but you can also watch it on SBS Golf, which will have every round at 5 PM (Korea time).

18 majors.. Looks like two of your favorites came thru lately. First In Gee win Evian in record fashion. Then Rory stormed back to win the Tour Championship plus the ten million dollar prize. I just watched the playoffs. Hole sixteen were good to him an eagle from the fairway in regulation. A birdie, on the fourth playoff to win it. What an amazing drive, about 323 yards in the fairway.

Thanks, SoYeonFan; we live for moments like these and hope So Yeon wins soon.
Yes, that's the sweet Sixteen. Rory holed out to get into contention; and sank that fourteen footer, his longest made putt on the weekend, to win it.

There is a Japanese article saying that Bo Mee is tired because she's forced to play so much. JLPGA winners, like KLPGA, and top 3 finishers from previous year are required to play or subject to heavy fines. Bo Mee is paying in 2016 for her successes in 2015.

An article was posted about Sun Ju Ahn not in the field. I pushed it through a couple of translators and, reading between the lines of gibberish, I think she screwed up...maybe the qualification rules changed or she missed a deadline or there was a schedule change she didn't know about. She's playing in Korea this week, but it probably wasn't her first choice.
The first two rounds of pairings are set. Dumbo is with T. Lu and Mika Miyazato. Mi Hyang is with Sky Kim and Sayaka Takahashi(A).

This a good pairing; In Gee was clobbered by Teresa Lu in singles at International Crown back in July; when her swings were not in sync.
Hopefully, the outcome is reversed.

I assume the featured group is Bo Mee, Waternabe and Suzuki.

OK...why is MHL playing this FAKE major instead of supporting her main tour, the LPGA? Hmmmmm....racism against the Chinese? ? Chinese Lives Matter.

It's a tough course; not a single birdie recorded after the first 30 holes.
