Look up the city of Taean in Google Maps. Then draw a line SW down into the peninsula...there are two courses; the one farther north is Golden Bay. The scoring was horrendous last year. Funny you should mention a typhoon: the Korean peninsula was on the fringe of circulation of Typhoon Lionrock, which came ashore in northern Honshu island in Japan.
I'm surprised that anyone can find updated information on this part of Korea via Google Maps, as there are restrictions on satellite map data for security reasons. The more reliable online maps of South Korea are from the domestic web portal and smart phone app Naver as Google Maps are not fully updated for most of the country. Pokémon Go hasn't been officially released in South Korea for that reason, but there is an area in the northeast of the country around Sokcho where Google Maps is fully updated because that area is actually part of the grid which is comprised primarily of North Korean territory, so avid gamers have been booking excursions to that region for the day or longer. When the game was finally launched in Japan, the birthplace of Pokémon, parts of Busan became game zones because they were on the map grid that primarily included nearby Tsushima island, which is Japanese territory.
Kevin Kevin How do you know all these obscure facts? Tell me the truth....do you play Pokemon Go?

The people at TaylorMade that deal with Jessica might not describe her as fun loving. Facts....otherwise it didn't happen. I know someone who works there, and he said she is tough and unfriendly. She is one of the players that blames things on the equipment-- not her flawed swing. I guess he could have made up the story, maybe he asked her out on a date and she told him to get lost. At least she doesn't juice like her old man.

My favorite threesome would be So Yeon, In Gee and Jessica. Second choice Sei Young, Minjee and Ha Na. Third Mi Hyang, Annie Park, and Ai. Huh...another Ko hater...Tina has made a lot of enemies. I am definitely not a Ko hater. I like Lydia. I also really like He Young Park as well, but like Lydia she would slow the group down. Now if I was going to pick my favorite slow group. It would be "The Rocket, Lydia ,Chella Choi and Jenny Shin. I missed He Young group, for Hanwha.

I guess that I should have checked more groups. In Kyung Kim is also one of my favorites. They also will be on the coverage tomorrow - tonight. Never was a big Shin Ae fan.

WTH, Jenny from The ROK is a WD!!!! That's a pretty long trip for nothing. Nice starts by Shin Ae Ahn (-1 thru 10 holes) and foreign invader Kaori Ohe (-2 thru 10 holes). I wonder how and why Ohe and Asako Fujimoto were chosen to receive invitations to this one.

"Look where that ball went...lousy, stinking TMAG gear!" JK was -2 on the back nine, then tripled #1. Jae Eun Chung (+2 thru 12 holes) and Munsingwear go well together, as usual. ******** UPDATE: The broadcast has started. Kevin Kevin How do you know all these obscure facts? Tell me the truth....do you play Pokemon Go? I wouldn't be wasting my time with such a silly game, especially since my eyes aren't meant to be staring at a tiny screen for several minutes at a stretch. The game has been in the news a lot so I what I didn't already glean from those reports I looked up on Wikipedia. As for how Naver maps are better for getting around South Korea than Google Maps, I picked that up from Simon and Martina.Kevin

I dozed off on this one, but woke up for the last hour. SH Park (74) teed off early with Lexi (67) and was able to observe how a REAL Terminator plays. I assume The Rocket(71) had her LPGA caddy, since the guy was not Asian. I didn't see J. Song play, even though she's -1 thru 17 holes. I didn't see Inky(74), but they showed SY Kang(73)

It has to be humbling for SHP to know she is not ready for primetime. Hopefully she'll get a lot done in the offseason and can consider the JLPGA in 2017.

There were a lot of people hitting into an unplayable lie or out if bounds. Par five number four must be a tough driving hole.
I did not like the broadcast that much. To me they focused on the same people too much. I can understand if it was the final round. You would think in the first round, that they would show more groups. Number of commercials and interviews didn't help either.
I guess they are trying to copy the Golf Channel's poor broadcasts.
