This event is north of Chitown....will it be well attended? Anyone know why the they bailed from the original venue slated for this event? I wouldn't be surprised if it had a decent turnout. Unlike the original location at Rich Harvest Farms, site of the 2009 Solheim Cup, which is located a good 50 miles west from downtown Chicago, the new location at The Merit Club is located in the golf-rich north suburban area. No reason was given for the move, other than "mutually agreed". Given that owner Jerry Rich played a big role in the creation of the IC, and that the LPGA has continued to talk about hosting another tournament there, it does seem odd.

The two best players in the world aren't there and Ha Na was excluded. It will probably be good when it's in Korea. To me it's an absolute gimmick- just like the Solheim and Ryder Cup.

Was Bam Bam the 4th on the US team in 2014? I was thinking about Korda....is she not higher ranked because she lacks the focus to excel...kinda like Bam Bam? Just saw that Creamer's dog passed away....I think he had been sick (didn't I read a while back he had a fungi issue??) and Paula knew he was going to pass away very soon. I think he was maybe less than 5 years old....very sad.....RIP....Studley. 2014 U.S. team was Lewis, Creamer, Thompson, Kerr. The cut-off date for finalizing the team members was waaaay too early so even though Wie was clearly one of the 4 best U.S. players at the time, she didn't make the team. Yes, too bad about Paula's dog.

MERIT CLUB IN TOURNAMENT CONDITION, READY FOR UL INTERNATIONAL CROWN www.lpga.com/news/2016-course-preview-ul-international-crownA venue change in November to the Merit Club didn’t allow time or budget for many changes to the course, so the same conditions members face throughout the year will challenge Crown competitors this week. Recent high temperatures in the Chicago area have dried out the course, which is Bentgrass throughout, and kept the rough from growing much higher than it’s current two and a half to three inches in height. Nelson says the rough will be allowed to grow up through the rest of the week since it hasn’t seen much growth and much of the grass off the fairway is brown in color.

There should at least be a dark grey Samsonite in the corner, out of respect for Ha Na.

Huh? Only if Hideki played...lol. Japan had a pretty bad team last time in 2014 and still did well. Korea also didnt set it on fire last time and had a better team because of leadership. This current team Korea team has zero leadership and forced Ha-Na out for no reason. China is a long shot but I could see it happen. Australia too. You guys act like Korea dominated this last time when they actually sucked pretty hard. This current Korean squad deserves to lose badly just because of the way they treated Ha-Na. What if your father murdered someone? Does that also make you a murderer? And LOL and counting on Amy Yang for anything. You guys are 100 percent delusional. Huh? No one forced Ha Na to do anything. Sounds like there is more than one delusional person here! I mean seriously, what does In Gee have to do to stop this nonsense? She wasn't the one who dropped a suitcase on someone, but has gone out of her way to apologize and try to normalize things. Sheesh. Korea sucked hard in 2014? Tell that to the Americans... Actually, they were OK, despite having two players who were in major slumps. This year they have four players who are all doing well. And I think I'll take Amy Yang, who just notched a top three in a Major (and the people who beat her aren't here) than anyone on the Japanese squad, including Nomura. Do the Koreans have weaknesses? Sure. It's match play Anything can happen. But I like their chances. Go Sisters!

Looking at the course setup. If there's a premium on making birdies as 3putt put it. I would sure like to see the long drivers and birdie makers split up. You only need one low score on a hole not two. Because both twosomes need to win, not just one. Which really help on long par fours and short par fives.

So I think I would try the following pairings: Sei Young and So Yeon Ryu In Gee and Amy Yang You get a good mix of the two long hitters and the two short game queens. In Gee and Sei Young have proved to be the best closers, while Amy and So Yeon have struggled. And In Gee won a match play tournament last year (Doosan Match Play), while So Yeon won that same event in 2009. https://www.instagram.com/p/BICzoycARL6
