The two best players in the world aren't there and Ha Na was excluded. It will probably be good when it's in Korea. To me it's an absolute gimmick- just like the Solheim and Ryder Cup. I hope you mean Inbee and Ko and not Ko and Henderson... I am pretty sure the players don't think it's a gimmick. Ha Na excluded herself. Although I am glad because So Yeon got to play. You people really need too let that go. Move on like they have.

There should at least be a dark grey Samsonite in the corner, out of respect for Ha Na. Post of the year.

Not your cup of tea ? It is fast becoming my favorite LPGA event. The chanting and cheering is what makes these events exciting. Imagine an NFL stadium full of spectators politely clapping after the home team gets a big sack. In 2018...I hope the Koreans yell in Kerr and Lewis's (assuming they make the team) backswings and clap and cheer every time they both miss putts.....hopefully the Koreans learned something from the 2013 Reignwood....that would be AWESOME. I can't wait for them to take this to Korea in 2018. I bet the atmosphere will rival that of the Ryder Cup. It will be a bonus if the fans heckle Cristie. It will be great to see Crusty pummelling a man purse carrying flying dumbo.

Thanks! I wonder what time the first shuttle bus leaves from the remote parking lot. I'm still working on the headcover. Just a few more stitches. I'll post a photo of it when I'm finished. Unfortunately, being a team competition, the players will be using similar team-supplied headcovers, and she likely will not use it during the weekend. Hopefully I can give it to In Gee at the practice green, and get a photo.

How about if Korea doesn't qualify for 2018 event? Is home country guaranteed a spot regardless?

For those who have attended an LPGA event, how strick are they with the no-photo policy on the course during the rounds? The official policy is no photos, but a smartphone with the sound off shouldn't interfere with the players. Should I chance it, or limit the pics to the range and practice greens?

Tony 6668 is the yardage. Have a good time. You didn't want to attended the 2014 Crown because you thought the Yanks would get crushed....so why a change of heart to attend this week?

WHO IS BACK AND WHO IS NEW TO UL INTERNATIONAL CROWN www.lpga.com/news/2016-ul-international-crown-storylinesSix of the original eight teams and 13 of the 36 total players in the field at this year’s UL International Crown will be competing in the event for a second time. The United States, Thailand and Chinese Taipei will be the most experienced teams as each return three members of their 2014 squads. Australia returns a pair of golfers, while Japan and Korea return just a single player. Below are the results of players who competed in 2014 sorted by most points scored for their respective teams. Someone at the LPGA office needs to go back to school. 8 teams x 4 players = 32.

MERIT CLUB IN TOURNAMENT CONDITION, READY FOR UL INTERNATIONAL CROWN www.lpga.com/news/2016-course-preview-ul-international-crownA venue change in November to the Merit Club didn’t allow time or budget for many changes to the course, so the same conditions members face throughout the year will challenge Crown competitors this week. Recent high temperatures in the Chicago area have dried out the course, which is Bentgrass throughout, and kept the rough from growing much higher than it’s current two and a half to three inches in height. Nelson says the rough will be allowed to grow up through the rest of the week since it hasn’t seen much growth and much of the grass off the fairway is brown in color. Huh....3 goat tracks in a row....WTF. Trees don't come into play....water hazards not really in play for these pros....dry rough....wide fairways? ? Happyfan is gonna lose it....a bombs away track set up for the Mericans.

How about if Korea doesn't qualify for 2018 event? Is home country guaranteed a sport regardless? That would mean Armageddon will have been upon us. Nothing would matter any more.
