fanofseri So did you play San Clemente muni yesterday?...it seems like a pretty nice track...especially for the money....95,000 rds/yr...it's busy....yet I saw lots of open tee times this weekend. That's nuts...only $14 for twilight starting really early at 3pm. Why haven't you played this year? Yikes....I've played 45 times this year....it could easily be twice that but I've turned down many invites from others who are golf crazed nutballs. I didn't play. I should have. Been working and then visit my mom on my off day. I just need to get out to the desert, find a 78 year widow with memberships at The Vintage Club and The Madison Club and I'll start playing again.

Fanofseri So is 78 a threshold number where a woman can still give you some luvin...yet old enough where you might inherit a nice net worth in a couple of years.

No one appreciates The Smiling Buddha. Hey, I told you I'd get you on the LA golf courses. I never do that.

So your brother really can me onto Riviera and/or LA G&CC? Maybe you forgot to tell your brother I'm Chinese....I guess all the WASP's at those two courses would show me to the kitchen door if I pulled into the parking lot....assuming I'm making a delivery to drop off some bok choy and tofu for the chef. You never talk much about playing the LA privates....can I assume your game is not where you'd like it...so you assume it would not be the best spend of $250-$300 for a guest fee? My next bucket list golf trip is Bandon.

Its just 2 much cash. I can play when I want. I'll get my game in tip top shape and go back. My brother is married to a fake Chinese. With a ten year old daughter. My niece, plays out of LACC. If she stays a member I'll be able to mooch plenty off her. You will like playing with my brother and me. Everybody does.

'Don't understand how people can consider Lydia boring. She smiles on the course, and has a great demeanor. She yucks it up with her fellow players. What is she supposed to do? Curse and throw clubs? Frown, and avoid contact with others? She has a great short game, so I find it fun to watch her get up and down when she misses the green. She's generally controlled off the tee. Do you prefer players that sling the ball into the trees? She is who she is, not much she can or should do about it. I had the same issue with Lorena and Tseng. It got to the point where, if they had a lead on Friday, I wouldn't even bother watching the weekend, because it was a dead dog certainty they were going to win. To me, that gets old really fast. If every once in a while someone would take it to her and bring her down, at least there would be some drama (no, not Henderson ). But when you clinch all the season ending awards by mid-May, as she has done (seriously, do you think anyone will catch her in POY or Vare?)... I don't know, I find that dull. It's especially frustrating because Inbee usually peaks at this time of year, and SHE can take Ko down. Inbee's big problem, though, is she's only at her world beating best about 4 months out of the year, meaning she always gives Ko a chance to claw her way back by the end of the year. But at least that makes for an exciting battle, which I far prefer (especially if the one battling is a player I really like).

I totally understand why many find Inbee boring. It took me a while to warm up to her, too. But in the end I grew to really like her because 1. I found out she is a really nice person 2. When her putting is on, there isn't a woman I've ever seen who can top her, and that is thrilling to watch. You get to the point where you expect her to drain those 15 footers every time. Sebonack, as much of a blow out as it was, was an unbelievable performance on the greens. She demolished Pettersen's confidence in the two rounds they were paired together, then with history on the line, just kept it going all weekend. 3. And man, is that putting stroke smooth. The ball glides like butter across the greens. 4. She NEVER gets the credit she deserves. Ko is at least given a fair amount of good pub, but except for when Inbee won three straight Majors, she never got that kind of attention. And that struck me as unfair and wrong, so I, at least, was going to push her every chance I got. 5. Inbee may be great, but I rarely feel she has a tournament locked up. With Ko, you feel that way far too often. So there is usually drama with Inbee, and unlike Ko who seems to be having a laugh out there, I feel the tension when Inbee is working to win. Has Ko ever had someone dunk a 153 yard shot to beat her in a playoff? See what I mean?

Has Ko ever had someone dunk a 153 yard shot to beat her in a playoff? See what I mean? Well, Brooke sticking a 7 iron to within 2 feet during a playoff in a major championship is pretty darn close. I was sweating just a tiny bit this past Sunday when Lydia dunked her layup on the 18th. After watching Ariya choke away her home tournament a few years back I came to believe that pretty much anything was possible, even for Lydia. Her 4th shot over the green was no beauty, either. If the stands hadn't been there, she could have wound up with a crummy lie. As it was, the putt from the back of the green was no gimme. I basically believe the two deal with the pressure in slightly different ways. On the outside, Inbee looks cool and collected, and Lydia is all happy happy, joy joy. However, both have noted numerous times that they do feel pressure in these moments. I appreciate both for handling it well, especially compared to players that can't deal the deal, e.g. Ciganda.

What's amazing is not only did Kim chip in and then hole out from the fairway to beat Inbee in Hawaii, but that win was the reason Ko beat Inbee for the Player of the Year. Inbee wins Hawaii, she's POY. See what I mean? Everything always seems to go Ko's way... Losing to Jutanugarn at the ANA? No problem, she'll hit her drive into the water, and there you go, Ko gets the Major! Everyone gets those kind of breaks occasionally (Inbee herself got one from Ariya in Thailand), but Ko just seems to get more of them than anyone I've ever seen. Whatever, I can be patient. I do firmly believe that, among Sung Hyun Park, In Gee Chun, Sei Young Kim, Ha Na Jang and Hyo Joo Kim, at least one of those players has world beater potential. And Inbee might return next year good as new. It just makes for a tough few months right now...

IGC had ANA wrapped up after three holes on Saturday and then she collapsed for the remainder of the front nine. I know because I watched. There hasn't been anything lucky about Ko's wins. She is a better golfer and mentally there is no equal except for Inbee Park.
There is no such thing as luck. Remember Little Jerry Barber's saying (stolen by Gary Player), the harder I practice, the luckier I get.

2 things we can count on here on ss.com 1, 3putt bashing Americans for any reason. 2, HF whining about the sisters being slighted by the media, and being unlucky in not winning.
