This is a really top quality field vs. other years. Maybe only about 40 player's name I've never seen before.
I'm too lazy to type out my top 20 fav's that I'd like to see secure their 2015 exempt cards.
I like them both and they are kind of 'expected' to gain their tour cards.....but if I had to predict an upset, unfortunately I think that Ariya or Charley Hull may just miss their exempt card.....let's hope I'm WRONG.

I don't know about Charley, but I agree with you on Ariya. If this was last year, she would be a lock, but she has not been nearly the same player since her shoulder injury. I almost think she should play a year on the Symetra Tour to get her legs back under her.

Hull has already stated that if she doesn't gain her LPGA card she'll continue on the LET and said she'll remain patient to get her LPGA membership. If Hull does obtain her card she said she intends to reside in the UK and pick and chose her events.
IMO.....if Ariya fails to gain her card....I can't see her playing the Symetra....she had the option to play the LET this year and rarely played. I think she'd rather be with Moriya, mom and dad and will continue to follow Moriya and hope and pray to Monday qualify like she did this year.
It's difficult to assess her game cause she doesn't get much attention from the US media and her TV coverage is rare nowadays due to a lack of contending when she does play a LPGA event.

Fairly bad first round for Ha Na Jang, a 74, although she still has plenty of time to recover from that and play like the top-three-Major-finisher she is. Meanwhile, a great day for Ju Young Park. I wonder if she is using a certain bubbly sister as a caddie?
Keeping an eye on the Aussie teen stars, both of whom shot 72s.
Notable finishes:
2. Ju Young Park 67 -5 7. Sei Young Kim 69 -3 15. Vicky Hurst 70 -2 24. Alison Lee, Julie Yang, Soo Bin Kim (UW student!), Sue Kim 71 -1 46. Birdie Kim, Minjee Lee, Su Oh 72 Even 88. Ha Na Jang 74 +2 105. Annie Park, Charley Hull 75 +3 124. Jung Eun Lee (KLPGA winner) 76 +4

Meanwhile, a great day for Ju Young Park. I wonder if she is using a certain bubbly sister as a caddie? Unless JYP brought a loop from S. Korea.....I gotta believe that Kylie, The Rocket's caddie, is on The Mini Rocket's bag. It would be foolish for HYP to lug a 50 lb bag for 7 days (practice too) and risk injury. HYP hasn't updated her Twitter or FB to verify that she's cheerleading for Sis.

Yes....I'm kinda surprised Ha Na shot 72.....but fully expect quite a bit of change on the leaderboard over the next 4 days.....the pressure of Q school is so high.
Ariya had it to -4 then was +5 coming home.....she's so streaky....I also think her course mgmt is too aggressive.....she seems stubborn....she really needs a strong willed caddie to assist with her course mgmt. Hull had a lousy rd. Let's see if my initial prediction of these two pans out.....hopefully not.

Love to see Vicky move up. Ju Young, Minjee, Sei Young and Hanna get their card. Arya needs to get well. Chie Arimura needs two go low the next couple of rounds, to make the cut.
If Ju Young make it, maybe she can teach Hee Young how to make pars along with all the birdies that she makes. I believe that she leads the tour in birdies.

This pic is probably not from today, but it seemed appropriate given where she finished. Go Ju Young!!!

Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about Haruka Morita-WanyaoLu? In the field list she was listed as from Japan, but the leaderboard has her listed from China. She has two names - a Japanese one and a Chinese one. Google search pulls absolutely nothing. Is this person even real?
EDIT: The plot thickens. A search for Haruka Morita and Wanyao Lu both come up with the same person. She apparently competed in the Japanese Amateur Championship as Haruka Morita and in the Blue Bay LPGA as Wanyao Lu.

So much for worrying about Ha Na....65 today. Sei Young is right there.
The Mini Rocket continues to be fueled up.
Minjee is lurking. Ariya and Hull bounced back. I think Vicky Hurst might be finished.
So who will GC drool about now that Cheyenne fell back with a 79?
And in other news....Tiger is toast...+5 on a course he's played 100's of times....his chipping at times looked like an 18 capper.

I hope Kim Welch makes it. I remember watching her on Big Break a few years ago. She was such a pleasant person. Her brief stint on the LPGA, the few tournaments that she played in. She had a few good rounds, but too many bad ones. She is just so nice. I wish her luck.

There are no ropes and I was able to chat with her in between shots walking down the fairways. I've likely seen 20+ Big Break gals on this tour. I also watched Ryann in 2010 & 2011....it was fun listening to her chatting with her group and trash talking other pros. I really would like to watch final Q school.....it's so intense....the gals are 150% focused....it would be maybe more exciting to watch vs. a LPGA event. One's up coming year is decided in 5 days.

So who will GC drool about now that Cheyenne fell back with a 79? Cheyenne! Their article title is all about her shooting a 79! www.golfchannel.com/news/golf-central-blog/not-just-tiger-cheyenne-shoots-79-lpga-q-school/Meanwhile, great day by Ha Na Jang. She is getting on a roll! Hope she can keep it up, it would be fun to see her bombing her drives on this tour next year. Also great start by Ju Young and Sei Young, and no need yet to hit the panic button for Minjee or Su Oh. Meanwhile, Birdie is 5 over and had better right the ship quickly or she's done! Go Sisters!!!

lllletsgolf.blogspot.com/2014/12/players-im-watching-this-week.htmlHa Na Jang was just giving everyone else a little hope on Day 1, that's all. Now that she's found her rhythm, she's good to go. Yokomine went nuts today, which is awesome. Probably my favorite player in Asia right now. She would be a huge boost to the struggling Japanese delegation. What is the number to hit again? 25?
