Anyone watching? I felt sorry for the OSU gal who took a hockey stick on her final hole and knocked out OSU from match play. That freshman gal from Duke is a beast who won the individual title. Did I hear correctly...she had a 73.0 scoring average her 1st year with a lousy 34 putting average...obviously must be a good ball striker. Two of the gals on the Bama team look really cute. The Oregon Duck coach, Ria Scott, is quite the looker....a collegiate player and past pro golfer too. She's a Filipino who got snatched up by a Rice King. I spoke with Andrea VanderLende (U of Wash) asst coach in 2013....she told me the coaches/scouts do a lot of globe trotting to conduct recruiting. The current crop of NCAA gals must not be that good...not that many Asians.....the Merican parents must be catching on and sending their daughters to Dr. Won Park's factory. We can't complain...GC is spending a lot of money to cover this event...including a plane to do the photo/video shots too. OK...I will complain....Stupples....UGH. I met in 2010 and 2013 in Portland...an elderly couple who are members of Eugene G&CC who housed Aza, Belen and Ciganda at the 2008 USGA Women's Am....holy moly....can you imagine Belen and Aza as house guests.

It is a tough break. That kid will never recover from that mess. Maybe she'll be Ha Na's roommate in the psych ward.
The NCAA tournament is great. It is the only time we'll ever see most of the white players competing for something that matters.

So now we know what Puggy B looks like.
Stanford has an attractive asst coach.
I thought his name was familiar...asst coach Derek Radley is married to Sara No H Brown.
Was Casey Martin smoking some weed yesterday...he said the greens were stimping at 13.

The entire USC womens first team have asian last names, most of the other teams have one to a few players with asian last names. it is tough to be admitted into these top usa colleges academically, these asian players were either born in the usa or came to the usa when very young. Alison Lee is a prime example of an Asian American Player, some others are Danielle Kang(Pepperdine) Mina Harigae(Duke)and Stephanie Kono(UCLA), the list is fairly long. Also there are many lpga players that have mixed asian heritage, Samantha Richdale being just one of many.
Historical side note: Scotland claims inventing the game of golf, but there is documented historical evidence that the game of golf as we know it was first played in China during the Song Dynasty (around year 1000). It was called Chuiwan. The game then traveled to other parts of the world including Scotland by trade merchants.

This tournament is more entertaining than 90% of the pro events. Well done GC.

Did everyone see the Dawgs take down the Bruins...holy moly!!
Kim Llewlyn a former Big Break gal...head coach of Virginia. I didn't know Patti Sheehan's sister is the U of Wash's head coach....lol.
Did you guys catch Janet Lindsey...she's a retired LPGA official....I guess her 401K went south and is back working for the NCAA.
I guess it's a new policy....in the past.....weren't all NCAA suppose to carry their bags? Clicgear remains the dominant market share leader.

My hats off to the Washington Golf Team freshmen. What a great comeback after being down late in their matches. It looked like UCLA had it won. Clutch, Clutch Clutch!!!!

UCLA, USC, Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, Angels, Ducks and Kings have one thing in common--they are all losers.

I believe you would have a very hard time trying to count the number of championships won by Los Angeles teams the past 5-10 years. SoCal born and raised, UCLA alum.

I can count all of the LA championships no problem. Hopefully you attended UCLA in the 1960's or 1970's when the basketball team was still relevant.
I am an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin. So, I know what it means to be totally irrelevant.
