That's May 30 thru June 2 at CC of Charleston...too far away from Columbia for MHL to sleep in her own bed that week. champs.usga.org/EntryForms/womensopen_2019.pdfNow I'm confused...they posted the application form (above), which shows the old exemption criteria (including top-5 money list from LET, KLPGA, JLPGA and top-3 from CLPGA). I thought they announced they were going to the Rolex top-75 and doing away with the foreign money lists. Maybe someone screwed up and they'll fix the form later.Whoops, I just reviewed the BA Nichols article...the changes are in 2020.

The original Seth Raynor routing was on Golf Club Atlas. Assume we can put it here, too. The show stoppers are the Redan and Short but it's loaded. I think the Lion's Mouth isn't original. Not on the map and I think I read it was added at some point.

The application deadline is about three weeks away...the link above will tell you who has entered, although you have to plug in a last name as a guess. Many procrastinators so far...
A few entrants who are not on the GIC list:
Kyoka Matsumori Jimin Kang Wenbo Liu (Washington state USA is her mailing address) Jennifer Hirano Inci Mehmet

Wednesday the 17th at 5 PM was the submission deadline. Two of my favorites from Canoe Brook last year, Karen Chung and Grace Na seem to be passing on this one. I searched on Chung's name in Entrant Lookup and she's not there...which is either crazy or there's a backlog of last-minute applications that haven't been processed yet. She's definitely good enough to pass a USWO qualifier...just opened with a 68 in Hawaii. I think Na may have packed it in as a touring pro.
Chung and Na are friends with a player who has entered this event, Suzie Lee ... was a South Carolina Gamecock for four years and averaged 75.50. She's been playing the Florida mini-tour sporadically since last September ... probably a better photographer than golfer:

The field is posted for the April 23 NJ qualifier at Forsgate CC … bleh … only 8 pros out of 43 players and none of them have ever been close to the LPGA tour. They usually have two spots up for grabs, but that won't be announced until later. I'm picking Yale U. freshman Ami Gianchandani as low medalist … has three wins this season and will be warmed up by playing the Ivy League championships in Ringoes, NJ this weekend. Cindy Ha should have decent chance at winning here, too. ****** The field is posted for Industry Hills GC in SoCal on April 24 … includes Suzuka Yamaguchi, Jennifer Hahn, NB Larsen, LA Pace, Lee Lopez, Kim Welch, Louise Ridderstrom, Liselotte Neumann , Benyapa Niphatsophon, and Andrea Lee. Japan will have its qualifier on April 22 … nothing posted yet on that field.

May 6, Honolulu HI - Tiffany Chan, Kacie Komoto, Cyd Okino and Rebecca Lee-Bentham The risk both ladies run with this is if they don't bring what for them would be their "A" game and one of the other players in the field has the best 36 holes of her life they'll be out of luck, as there's typically only one slot available from either sectional.
The same holds true for Alison Walshe in her home state sectional in Norton at TPC Boston. She hopes to join Megan Khang, Brittany Altomare and Women's Mid-Am champion Shannon Johnson from the Commonwealth in the field in Charleston.www.golfgenius.com/pages/1870566Kevin

The Japan Golf Association website posted a list of 91 players on April 10. Why? The USGA deadline was April 17. I guess they have no procrastinators over there.
April 22, Ibaraki Pref. Japan - Lala Anai, Hina Arakaki, Mami Fukuda, Mayu Hattori, Kotone & Natsuka Hori, Eimi Koga, Kotono Kozuma, Kyoka Matsumori, Mika Miyazato, Saki Nagamine, Eri Okayama, Miyuki Takeuchi, Ayaka Watanabe, Phoebe Yao, Rumi Yoshiba and Yuri Yoshida.

The current version of the Japan Golf Association website is about 100 times worse than the old version...I don't know where they have scores on it now. Fortunately, the JGA's Facebook page has pictures of everyone's score:
