I know it's two pros and two celebrity ams per foursome. Will the pros be repaired after each round based on their daily scores? If a couple of these celebrities are real knuckeheads, I hope the same pros don't have to play with them for all four rounds. One the other hand, I'd welcome Mi Hyang playing with John Smoltz all four days, who is supposed to be crazy good and wouldn't foul up her tempo with bad play or stupid jokes.
If GolfWrx opinion is a valid indicator, there is one PGA Tour event that is vilified every year: next month's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (with extra poison dumped on Bill Murray).
Going by memory on this: the last LPGA pro-am event was about 10 years ago in Florida...Nicole Castrale won it...was it dropped after one season? It was full-field event...I recall reading how the rounds lasted six or seven hours.

How seriously is even the LPGA treating this? As of today they still have not posted their 2019 player profiles; no Youngin Chun or JE Lee 6. Even they don't think the season is starting...
Although the first two events of the 2019 season are classified as "Inaugural", lpga.com still doesn't have a link on the schedule to drill down on them...and they still haven't posted the 2019 Syemtra sked (the 2018 sked was posted in December, 2017). However, they got around to posting the 2019 LPGA priority list today...Muni is #156 and Karen Chung is #172, WTH.

The qualified field was 36 and I counted 10 no shows; the playing field should be 26. Has there ever been an official LPGA event with fewer players? I think the Lorena event had 36 or 38. I just checked the celeb list. The Cable Guy? Blair from GC?? At least I've heard of those two. Most of those "celebs" look like they could really use the prize money. This tournament is one and done. The Samsung used to cap out at 20 IIRC. Just the biggest of the big names. Se Ri won it one year, which was nice seeing as Samsung was her sponsor at the time.

27 players; did more shoes drop? Is Jin Young really going to be at this? Does that mean I actually have to watch now?

I think you're safe for the moment. . .I haven't seen any change in her plans to not attend. . . Her photo in the above tweet just means she's qualified, not confirmed. . . Her last Instagram indicated she was about to begin Training in just a few days. . .

There's been nothing to indicate In Gee will play next week; may be this guy isn't up to date.

I still haven't been able to verify In Gee's confirmation; but is happy about it anyway.
It's an understatement to say In Gee needs to have a good year, a year with several wins including at least one major; she better gets it going at the gun.
In Gee's best LPGA year was her rookie year when she started her campaign at Coates Golf Championship in Florida with a 3-way T3 (Sei Young Kim and Lydia Ko).
