awhsonNo, Minjee is hot and steaming in Australia. That’s why she’s the outside pick.

I still haven't been able to verify In Gee's confirmation; but is happy about it anyway. It's an understatement to say In Gee needs to have a good year, a year with several wins including at least one major; she better gets it going at the gun. In Gee's best LPGA year was her rookie year when she started her campaign at Coates Golf Championship in Florida with a 3-way T3 (Sei Young Kim and Lydia Ko). The field list I posted was faxed to me straight from LPGA headquarters. I am assuming its correct and In Gee is playing Thanks for the true inside information; we're lucky to have you on our forum.

She doesn't have the type of game that lends itself to dominance. Perhaps in course management, but the courses the LPGA plays usually stink and negate any strategy. If the schedule was the top 35 classic courses it might be a different story. The LPGA is basically a drag race. How fast can you step on the pedal. Even if you could do it it would get boring. Lorena got sick of it.

donCourse and setup are something for people to debate but In Gee can dominate; she won USWO, 2 JLPGA majors and 5 KLPGA's (2 majors) in 2015 when her driving distance was over 250 yards. She dominated with her short games; one of the best in women's golf. I agree with you, the 2018 In Gee with her 230-246 yards driving distance has no chance. Essentially, the real question is whether her aching back is permanent or revivable. We'll find out soon.

Good for In Gee. She's acting like a Founder. Skip the nightly parties...nothing good can come from those. Go to bed early and get out there and win it.

No bombers win at Evian and Lancaster was the same. A tour that produces SHP, Lexi and Aryia as the big 3 won’t suit In Gee. Plus, like Lydia, she learned she can miss putts. I agree she could use more yardage off the tee. Is that the main factor, I don’t know. Probably.

I shouldn't be surprised that the Tour is still using 1990's tech so kudos to you for keeping that line of communication open however sparingly you yourself use it these days.Kevin

If Lexi brings her secret weapon, Leo the puppy, it's game over.

donDon't forget both So Yeon Ryu and Inbee Park are still ahead of Lexi in Rolex ranking. Also, don't forget Lydia Ko, Inbee Park and Stacy Lewis were atop of LPGA for more than 3 years straight. The course and set up arguments are so old that it's not worth mentioning anymore. Otherwise, Tiger Woods would have won 10 Masters; Ernie Els and Rory McIlroy would've won Masters more than once. What's true is good ball striking plus light out putting win tournaments.
