Talking about speaking Korean language up and down. The Golf Channel announcer's also does it, using Jin Young Ko as an example. Instead of Jin Young Ko, they would say Jin Young Ko.

I think that might have been a special "honor" just bestowed upon In Gee. No, I recall them doing it to Lydia as well. How could I forget?

A fairly hilarious review of the Evian TV coverage by Martin Kaufman at Golfweek: golfweek.com/2018/09/16/evian-still-searching-for-that-major-championship-vibe/ON STUPPLES: Stupples referred to swing changes that Amy Olson has made the past two years with her swing coach. The natural question is: What are those changes? Stupples didn’t go to that next level and tell us... If Stupples had taken 30 seconds to share a couple of details about Olson’s swing changes and their impact on her game, that would have been great information. But we didn’t get that.
BINGO! They knew Olson would be in the hunt on the weekend, so why not dig up some old swing video of her and do a side-by-side comparison with her current swing? I can't recall if I said this before, but if I were the GC TV broadcast director in the truck, I would demand that the ex-players behind the mics speak only technical stuff about the players' swings/equipment/coaching etc., and leave out the nebulous mind-reading speculation. In one of the recent tournaments, the cameras switch to Minjee Lee and Jerry Foltz starts out saying how she restricts her hip turn on the swing...he was alluding to most controversial subject on the golf swing today...I was hoping this would trigger a debate between the broadcasters, but nothing happened. Foltzy was an interesting guy to listen to around the practice green at the Seaview this year...he knows and observes a lot...although he's an on-course commentator, I would turn him loose and have the other broadcasters respond to him.

With the current LPGA hiatus, I thought it would be good to pop in a few different avatars. I wanted to upload a nice pic of Angela Stanford I took at the 2006 Shop-Rite posing between the 6th green and 7th tee, but I can't find that collection anymore (I sent HF pics of the Koreans for the website long ago)...I must have lost that set while upgrading from one PC to another. If I'm lucky, I'll find it on a thumb drive. Meanwhile, i just posted MJ Hur at 2010 Shop-Rite.
No update yet on whether or not Florence flooded the car wash.

A good indicator of the parity in LPGA is the official money list.
This year, the leaders YTD are:
Ariya Jutanugarn $2,261,000 Brooke Henderson $1,364,000
In 2015, the total purse is about the same as 2018 YTD:
Lydia Ko $2,800,000 Inbee Park $2,630,000

In Gee Chun, Jin Young Ko and Sung Hyun Park was not on the tour in 2015. May have something to do with the difference.
