29,500 Korean Won for a weekly ticket, works out to about $205. Yeah, that sounds like a dream trip. Hopefully the Crown comes back to Korea regularly because I'd love to go and see it and then straight to the Hana Bank the next week. So Would I.

Eun Hee Ji has won this year, but I certainly wouldn't pick her as an alternate if I had a choice. Sei Young Kim for sure would be the stronger candidate.
Some good news. Inky is practicing again. So perhaps this is all moot.

In case anyone misunderstood, I wasn't dissing Ji...I was marveling at how someone with $609K could only be an alternate...and the 2nd one after Dumbo!!! If Korea doesn't win this thing, each team member will have to buy troll insurance for the next two years.

philknj This is so unlike you; you’ve got me confused. You're "Mr. Precise", no facts or truths escape you. I'm sure you know Hye Jin Choi and Jin Young Ko ($954K) were the original alternates.

I wasn't counting Choi and Ko because decided early on to play the KLGPA that same week.
As for BadA$$, I agree with HF that at her best, she's better than Ji. But, you don't know what to expect from her at times...that last round at Evian was bizarre with the one-hand swings, and trying to hit a deliberate fat fairway bunker shot was ludicrous.

Sei Young is wild and unpredictable to be sure, but so is Sung Hyun Park. If you get her worst, well, thems the breaks. But if you get her near her best she'll be electrifying. And though she messed up in the final round of the Evian, she STILL almost won.
Ji started the season well but hasn't been all that strong of late, so I'd still take SYK. No offense to Ji, who is certainly not bad either.

Very Dark. I'm thinking England as the dark horse. Georgia Hall along with Charlie Hall in the finals does not seem that far fetched. Is it possible to even go to this event? Would one just buy a ticket online, get an airline ticket to Seoul, find a place to stay and just go like they were going to an event in the USA? Seems weird to me. To actually be there would be so much fun. And then to go to the klpga lpga event afterwords? This sounds like something bravedave would do... Tickets - www.ulcrown2018.com/en/tickets/229,500 Korean Won for a weekly ticket, works out to about $205. Yeah, that sounds like a dream trip. Hopefully the Crown comes back to Korea regularly because I'd love to go and see it and then straight to the Hana Bank the next week. Too bad you can't make this one kjt. Every time I go to a tournament I think this is the one I'll get bored silly and my love affair with the LPGA will come to an end. It hasn't happened yet and I've been to 50 tournament days since 2013. $205 is a bit pricey though but the whole trip is. I did get a good deal on RT ticket from the Philippines to Korea for a bit less than $200. I got rooms near the golf courses in fact I have a view of the Jack Nicklaus course from my airbb. I recently did 16 days in Vietnam and had a fantastic time but this trip will be a different kettle of fish. I've been lucky enough to have a cougar as a friend and he's really taken care of me with passes at the KIA ANA SF. Also I've bought plenty of weekly passes for between $12.50-$50 many times. What a deal. I said England as a dark horse and they are ranked second. Good one. A flyer on Taiwan seems like an excellent bet. Huge odds and Spain showed us anything is possible.

bravedave Really enjoy reading your sojourns all over and those great deals; hope you have a great time in Korea! Also. it's exotic to have the Philippines as your base.

I looked at AirBNB's around the course and there seemed to be plenty of choice at reasonable prices. Only problem for me is the flight from the UK nearing £600. The CJ Cup on the PGA Tour is the week after the Hana-Bank as well. Three weeks of golfing heaven...
