Since we're on the subject of injury substitutions, Meesh pulled out of Evian as well. If her hand is still not up to snuff Danielle is next on the list for Team USA.

I will add, though, that if either an American or Korean who is not on the team wins the Evian, regardless of her ranking... if there needs to be a substitution on the team... well, I think that player would have an inside track. That's one way I could see Lucky Six making the team.

HappyFanI'm sure the tickets were sold out not too long after In Gee was added to the team. In that case, they'll follow the rule.

But my pick would be Jiyai Shin if In Kyung is injured.

I see Australia as a dark horse here. Very Dark. I'm thinking England as the dark horse. Georgia Hall along with Charlie Hall in the finals does not seem that far fetched. Is it possible to even go to this event? Would one just buy a ticket online, get an airline ticket to Seoul, find a place to stay and just go like they were going to an event in the USA? Seems weird to me. To actually be there would be so much fun. And then to go to the klpga lpga event afterwords? This sounds like something bravedave would do...

Tickets - www.ulcrown2018.com/en/tickets/229,500 Korean Won for a weekly ticket, works out to about $205. Yeah, that sounds like a dream trip. Hopefully the Crown comes back to Korea regularly because I'd love to go and see it and then straight to the Hana Bank the next week.

Ticket sales went well by Korea and US standards; but is probably par for the course by Japanese standard.
How about UL International Crown in Japan?

With Inky skipping the Evian, they'd better have an alternate plan in place for IC if she can't suit up. I wonder if Inbee would be willing to change her mind for the good of the team? It sounded like she mainly did what she did to give someone else a chance to play. Neither Sei Young nor Amy have been super solid this season (other than Thornberry), but I would think one of them would get the nod if Inky can't do it and Inbee doesn't step in. Both played all right last IC; I think I'd take Sei Young if I had a choice. I highly doubt Lucky Six will make the squad. (PS - it probably won't happen, but can you imagine an 11th hour Willis Reed moment for Inbee? That would be epic; the star returns to lift her team to victory in front of the home crowd).
I heard the GC broadcasters say at Evian that Mickey Mouse ($609K in 2018 earnings) is next in line if Inky can't play...that is just ill.

The U.S. team is in trouble...Crusty is the only reliable player they've got. Lexi's head is out to lunch, Korda runs hot and cold, and Wie is a physical basket case, I guess. D. Kang as first alternate (8 MCs in 2018) inspires little confidence.
That's a pretty big gap above between Taiwan and Australia/Sweden. If I had a few dollars to waste, I'd bet them on Taiwan not finishing in last place. Lu, Hsu and Yao are really good...the only weakling is Kung, who is a bit washed up...too bad they can't slip in Peiyun Chien as a sub.
