Second round highs and lows.
Jenny in the lead, Inbee and Lydia at the top.
Lows no surprise Lewis damaging her putter.
Surprise, Morgan party mouth, after pulling an iron left.
The course is a good test of golf, not like last week.
Now they want to shorten a par four, with no risk reward.
Everyone can just hit right of the green.

Round 2 Inbee managed a second straight round in the 60s for her first time this year. She's right near the top at 8 under, two back. She'll be paired with Sung Hyun Park on Saturday, which ought to be interesting. Last time they met, Park played Park in the singles match at the KLPGA vs LPGA team competition, and Sung Hyun destroyed Inbee. Sung Hyun is in an interesting place at three back. I'm not sure this is an ideal course for her game, but it'll be fun to see if she can make a run at the title.  Hyo Joo is the other Olympic hopeful to nudge herself into contention. She'll be in the penultimate group in round 3.  Then there's Jenny Shin -- can she win with #1 and #2 breathing down her neck? Hwaiting!  Minjee Lee  MJ Hur is also quietly in the hunt! They haven't shown SH Park hit a shot yet. A few brief cameos in the background though. These people don't even know who's good.
Scratch that, Tom and Judy did a brief player profile on her. They must read this site during the broadcasts.
OK, it's turning into the Sung Hyun Park show. What a flopper on 16. Fake Terry Gannon was impressed.

Tie Domi is/was my fav player....the guy is fearless. His skull must be twice the depth of normal humans...I don't remember him winning much, but you couldn't hurt him. His two years with the Rangers were outrageous...each of his encounters with Bob Probert had a pre-bout build-up worthy of Ali vs. Frazier. I'm all "hockey-ed out"...spent 1987-2002 going to NHL, AHL, ECHL, and college games all over the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic...filled up a ton of photo albums. They're strictly amateur pix, but it's real hockey history. The only major omission from my itineraries was a home game of the Philadelphia Flyers...maybe because I despised them. Team sports don't grab me anymore...it's just golf now. Here's a hockey-golf connection: I attended a Flyers-Islanders alumni game on 1/10/92 at the Mennen Arena in Morristown, NJ. A lot of '70s-era players showed up for it, including Dave Schultz and Gary Howatt (no, they didn't drop the gloves). I heard that Howatt owned a driving range somewhere in North Jersey. As for Schultz, he was featured in an Atlantic City golf magazine a few years ago, since he loved playing the game all over that region. A lot of your Cannuck hockey players end up retiring in the U.S. |

With two holes remaining, no hiccups for Jenny from The ROK, leads by one shot. Looks like she demoted her T/M M1 driver for the RBZ Stage 2. Phil That's not a driver...I'm almost certain it's a FW....pro model with adjustable head.... At first, I thought it was a 3W, but I wasn't sure...after all, she's no long bomber, so why give distance with a 3W? I guess the rough is scaring the players over there. Anyway, you're definitely right because she used the M1 big stick earlier today:  |

Glad that Sung Hyun Park made them show her by making birdies.
A great birdie comeback on eighteen after double on seventeen.
Inbee's short game hurt her and Jenny could not get untracked.
However they all are in the hunt including Brittany Lang, but her accuracy could hurt her.
Lydia was just being Lydia.

She's wiping her face with her shirt...it's make-up...GIMMEE often wipes her face with her shirt. OK....it's lame Alison W/D.....likely cause she gagged it on Thursday....she's given no reason...so I gotta believe she's not sick nor injured. OK...who were the Korean fanboys yelling their heads off when SHP made a good shot...yet when Winbee made a nice shot.... it was silent. I can only imagine the Koreans yelling when Dumbo shows her face...if she is in contention at the fake major next week....will fanofseri arrange 20 busloads of Koreans from LA to the desert. |

I'm glad Sung Hyun is in the final group...I couldn't see Lang or Shin taking Ko down in the final pairing....I think playing a group back will help them both.
I like Judy but she's too lame...she would say who she thought could take on Ko tomorrow...come on...answer the question....Johnny Miller would had picked a challenger.

Jason is so fearful of Tina....he should have convinced Lydia to go for the green at 16....it was lame to lay up to an uncomfortable distance. Unless he's sick....looks like BJ canned Brooker...now Larry the Loop can seek a bag for the ANA.  Nice ace by Minjee. |
