The last few years have seen approx 2/3 of lead LPGA sponsors with global HQ's outside of the US. IMO.....the term.....'the US based LPGA tour' .....should become obsolete.

I would think a Follow the Money think piece on the LPGA players and sponsors from Asia would be a no brainer for a golf writer. It's the intersection of a bunch of interesting trends. Women's sports, Korean women as Asian trend setters, a new "home of golf?" as driving ranges and academies in Seoul, Pac Rim influence, teenage professional athletes, parental influence, etc. Forget golf writers, it's just a great sports story.

I'm a little worried that she is not able to practice at all right now. She might have to spend a few tournaments returning to the form she was at before this all happened. I hope not...

Not playing won't hurt In Gee's Rolex ranking for a while, but poor plays will. In Gee is supposedly a math genius, she knows this by heart.

Where was Jessica Wallace?

This is a pretty serious injury for Dumbo.
If indeed Dumbo plays the Kia....the LPGA should pair Ha Na and Dumbo together....let the K-Drama begin.....Samsonite might be a new sponsor for The Hulk.
I PM'd fanofseri....he has agreed to attend the Kia and will be yelling..."In coming" in Ha Na's back swing....he will also volunteer to ref if indeed both father's start throwing punching.....but BJ Wie and Mr. Ammacapane will be the main attraction....The Dragon Lady will be selling tickets for $10 all being donated to Lydia's College Fund.
"See why it's different out here"

Sung Hyun Park, the second best player on the KLPGA last year, is starting her 2016 this week. She will play the next three LPGA events, ending at the ANA Inspiration. Apparently she has been working on her strength, because being the longest driver on the KLPGA last year was not enough. Will be very interesting to see how she handles her first events outside of Asia: Park Sung-hyun begins the year at the LPGA Founders Cup

She's plenty long....focus on your short game and putting. And of all things...stay away from BJ and The Dragon Lady (both on Deadbetter's payroll) who might con you that the A-Swing is a game changer.

www.lpga.com/tournaments/jtbc-founders-cup/pairingsHmmmmm....more LPGA fumbles. WTF....defending champ HJK should be paired with the likes of Lydia, WinBee, SYR, Badass, etc. JTBC is the sponsor....respect them and the Korean audience....do you think the Koreans want to watch Crusty and Tutta paired along with Winbee? Anyone who doesn't believe that The Dark Side has their hand in the cookie jar?....what a coincidence.....Wiesy paired with GOAT #2 niece....I'm kinda surprised Megan is in that group. Another coincidence? ...Ha Na paired with GIMME?.....likely so Alison can give The Hulk some coaching on how to handle controversy. Blah...I hate Phoenix...weather forecast is sunny...85-92*F for the event....meanwhile....Van City already has it's full month of March rainfall already....ugh.

Beth Ann did a good job, as usual. golfweek.com/news/2016/mar/15/lpga-founders-cup-ha-na-jang-south-korea/“When I was in Korea last week so many people asked about that,” said So Yeon Ryu, who emphasized that the Korean stars are “good rivals.” “It really shouldn’t have been written about,” said Inbee Park. “It was just an accident. Because of the Olympic matter, everybody wanted to make it such a big deal. It was a total mistake.” Jang’s manager, Pyungki Kim, came to Phoenix and helped Jang try to explain to U.S. media that she didn’t want to comment further on the incident with Chun. It’s a delicate and complicated matter, they said, and she feels remorseful over all that has transpired. It wouldn’t be fair to Chun, who isn’t here this week, or the Korean media, to talk further about it on this side of the world. “(Ha Na) is still hurt,” Kim said. “Also her father is very hurt, especially during this week.” Should Jang win for a third time this year in Phoenix, Jang said it will be a subdued affair. “I don’t want to try celebrations this week,” she said.
