A few days ago, In Gee mentioned that she was aiming to play in Phoenix, but also that she might drop out if she is not ready. So, she's in the field, but it's not a 100% certainty she'll tee it up.

In Gee has only played 2 tournaments this year, and only one counted as official money; by far the fewest of any top 10 players. Is it because of all the love and attention she gets from South Korea and us? The peril of being loved and famous.

That's good about IGC. Looking forward to seeing Sullivan and Sung Hyun Park too. Yes...both are good invite choices.....hopefuly both play well to get some coverage. I hope the LPGA gets it right and helps out SHP pairing her with some bilingual pros....GIMME and The Rocket would be ideal...but I'd also like to see SHP paired with Lexi for a bombfest.....I think she played with MW and Lexi back in the Asia swing???

Next Monday's qualifying will be at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale. It will be packed.....a lot of Phoenix residents will be there.....Jessica Wallace, Blair O'Neal, Taylore Karle (nice looking, but minimal game....saw her in Portland 2013), etc, etc. I'm surprised the Cactus tour still exists....looks like the Grasshopper tour folded.

Yeah she played w/ Lexi and Wie (almost positive, I watched it a few weeks ago) and the quote was that she was out driving them because while they swing harder she swings faster. Whatever that means. I could watch In Gee, SHP and Hyo-Joo hit golf balls all day.

Harder = a swing with a fast transition without the corresponding SS and ball speed.....that's me....I have a somewhat fast and harsh looking swing...but only a 94-97 mph SS....most Am's have a 'hard' swing. Most pros have invisible speed....they can hold their wrist cock through the slot and then release fast and perfectly square at impact.....most Am's including myself have lost that wrist cock in the latter part through the slot.......this speed is hard to detect without looking at a swing in slow motion. A classic example is Inbee...she looks like she has a SS of 80 mph...but it's likely 94-96 mph....and she strikes the ball so well....her smash factor is near perfection or at perfection...1.5....she obtains the most ball speed and distance through her somewhat slow looking swing..via pure ball striking. Actually...nearly all pros have a near perfect smash factor...that's why they are pros. IMO......Lexi and MW have hard, fast transition swings.....where SHP likely has a well tempo'd and timed swing to generate the ball speed to keep up or pass MW and Lexi in distance. But I think Lexi might have gained some yards this year...she's now gaming the King LTD...likely less spin vs. her dated Cobra Bio Cell driver. If you ever saw Lexi's drives in the past in real life....TV doesn't capture it....it seems her drives would take off and then fall out of the sky....maybe too much spin....I'm surprised she never played the Fly Z+ that has obtained great reviews. I've still yet to figure out if Lexi has upgraded from her very dated S3 Forged irons....I was in Golftown on Monday....the King Forged TEC irons with KBS C-Taper Lite 110's are some seriously SWEET looking sticks...can you send me $1400 so I can upgrade from my Amp Cell irons?

I saw those King Forged irons. Very beautiful. I was just side swiped by an uninsured driver (5th time in 20 years)so I can't buy those irons for you right now

Next Monday's qualifying will be at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale. I love Talking Stick Resort's North Course. Too pricey during the Winter, I play it a lot during the summer. I may just drop by an watch the qualifying.

I was just side swiped by an uninsured driver (5th time in 20 years)so I can't buy those irons for you right now WTF...that's sad.....5 times by uninsured....even worse....another WTF. I've been involved in 2 accidents where the other driver was at fault...all covered by insurance. So I assume you are the one paying the $300 or $500 deductible. How much do you pay in auto insurance?.....I'm at approx $1350/yr ($3M liability???) with provincial public insurance.....steeper than some other provinces with private insurance

Need to hold the breath that In Gee is well enough to play, and play well.

It's a strong field, the only players I can see that are skipping are: Lexi, Charley Hull, Xi Yu Lin and I.K. Kim. They certainly prep differently. While many of the top ranked men don't play too much leading up to a major, especially the week before....the gals just play. I don't expect too many gals to skip the Kia. I know it's difficult to find a host venue...but I'd like to see the Kia played in LA....a larger population to pull from.....especially the LA Koreans. It's always better to watch with a larger LPGA gallery. I wonder if there will be a dust-up in the parking lot at the Founders with The Hulk and Dumbo's fathers....I expect Samsonite sales to spike this week in Phoenix.
