In Gee Chun will WD from next wk's Founders Cup w/ injuries sustained when Ha Na Jang's dad dropped a bag that struck Chun, Chun's mgr says
Chun's management says Chun has undergone MRI for injuries to lumbar muscles & pelvis that are healing but she still has bruises & swelling.
Chun says she doesn't want hurtful speculation over how Jang's father dropped a bag that crashed down an escalator into Chun to continue
Chun says regardless of the 'shortcomings' of the Jang family's apology, she hopes to meet w/ Jang & 'do my best to rebuild the relationship

IGC's people are saying all the right things. Maybe Ha Na and daddy can pick up black cowboy hats from one of the many western apparel shops in the Phoenix area. They are going to be the bad guys for a long long time.

I believe that's an earnest statement by her and her along. She is willing to put it behind her and get well. Too bad others want to read something else into it!!!

Yeah, this time it only took him a couple of hours to copy my scoop! Last time it took him nearly three days. He's learning.

Dumbo is in need of some decent PR people. I believe this "shortcomings on apology but let's move forward" was intented to be a taking the high road response.
But it came out more like "Lets put this behind us, even though u guys are axxhxxxs".

But it came out more like "Lets put this behind us, even though u guys are axxhxxxs". BINGO!!!!!!!Maybe IGC is parroting what her Daddy is telling her. This needs to be settled in a K-Drama matter, one of two ways: A. IGC and The Hulk in a screaming match, followed by joint hair pulling. or B. The two daddies screaming at each other...then the one that thinks he's older will ask the other guy, "How old are you?" When the other confirms that he is younger, the older one declares victory, regardless of the facts. I haven't watched a K-Drama in at least five years...they rotate the same story lines and the same fifteen actors over and over...

Next Monday's qualifying will be at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale. I love Talking Stick Resort's North Course. Too pricey during the Winter, I play it a lot during the summer. I may just drop by an watch the qualifying. www.lpga.com/tournaments/lpga-local-open-qualifier-fast-factsThe above link has the "final" list of entrants...a lot of familiar names I've seen in person (is Amy Hung making a comeback?)...I'd definitely go if I lived in the area.

Yowsers! I think In Gee and/or her PR people know a little bad blood can go a long way for her notoriety.

Yes...if Dumbo was really sincere in statement...she or her PR would have left out the ' shortcomings' quote. I seriously believe the President of Korea contacted Dumbo to make a statement to avoid a complete crash of the internet in Korea. Hmmm.....let's see. OK....who doesn't hold onto the hand railing on an escalator? If Ha Na's dad was just above Dumbo....that luggage would not have had much momentum to injure In Gee like it did. And if the suitcase was coming from the very top of the escalator and Dumbo was at the bottom....does anyone believe there was no one in between Ha Na's dad and Dumbo to break the velocity or intercept the falling suitcase? It just seems too suspect to be injured this seriously. I'm guessing Ha Na's dad hurled the suitcase at Dumbo like an Olympic hammer thrower to cause such damage.

I bet ol Randall at GChannel has been working on Korean language and culture studies for years though, so he'd catch it. Anybody see the PGA Commish asking for recommendations about a joint tour event format. Effusive praise by him of the LPGA for being a global tour. I guess the international players didn't ruin the LPGa after all. I saw it in this article from Ol Randall. www.golfchannel.com/news/randall-mell/one-mans-idea-pga-tourlpga-joint-event/

Other countries have shown their respect to women's golf and have supported them....look how well sponsored....even the lower ranked pros on the KLPGA & JLPGA....even pros on the Dream tour seem fairly well sponsored. A monkey would figure it out to chase sponsors internationally when the Yanks have no interest in women's golf. The ANA is proof...no Yank company would get behind the 'fake' major...they had been searching for years for a sponsor until the Japanese saved they day. 3) Ya the PGA tour and Finchem might be interested in creating a joint event...but will any of the independent contractors.....especially the premier male pros be interested to show up for a silly season hit and giggle event.....we'll see the tier 3 PGA pros. Although not the PGA tour....IMO...the thing to spark an interest in women's golf would be to hold alternate day golf with the women at the men's major venues...kinda how the tennis majors are conducted. As I've said before....the LPGA is doing fine....no need for a 'fake' alliance with the PGA tour.

The pebble beach pro-am should dump the celebs and have it be a joint stroke play tourney. Alternate groups between men and women. Then a playoff between the winners maybe.

Harig wrote about it for ESPN, too. Dottie had some good thoughts, as usual. "A place like PGA National [home of the Honda Classic] would be a terrific candidate, two or more quality courses," she said. "Or maybe start an LPGA event on Wednesday with the focus on their finish on Saturday. Or alternate courses starting on the same day. Another option would be two smaller fields, make a cut to 50 or 60 and then alternate PGA/LPGA groupings for the final 36." espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/14938940/partnership-pga-tour-lpga-tour-rife-possibilitiesHarig w/ a terrible idea. "Getting the equipment and apparel companies on board could help, too. Perhaps a Nike team consisting of Rory McIlroy and Michelle Wie?" Sorry to get off topic. Founders Cup!
