Ye Na Chung won the Vietnam event and is on the leaderboard again. No sign of Yoon Kyung Heo. The last event I see her playing was back in August. I wonder how long she will be sidelined by injuries, or if she's OK and is waiting for the tour to return to Korea? EDIT: I found an article saying she had been down with a left knee injury but has been training in the US and will return to action soon!  Nice opening round by Han Sol Ji, a rookie no longer! Jin Young has taken on Dean Herden as her caddie (he has looped for several big stars, including So Yeon Ryu and In Gee Chun when they won the US Women's Open, and Jiyai Shin). I recall he said she made that move because she's aiming to come to the States. Programming note: Golf Channel will show the final two rounds of this tournament. The third round is tonight 10 PM PST. |

Hmmmmmm......Koreans are not very nice....taking it to the Chinese at this event....you don't see the Chinese slaughtering the Koreans in S. Korea.
Not surprised JYK is near the top of the leader board...she's a playa....kinda surprised Xi Yu Lin is gagging it up...if there are tough conditions to finish off rd 2.....Lin could make the cut on the number.

The sign of a great ball striker is one who has no issues from fairways bunkers...me....I stink from fairway bunkers...but I'm pretty OK from green side bunkers...my ball striking s*cks.
Whan better start looking at a new sponsor to replace Coates.

It was great fun watching the coverage on Golf Channel - basically like watching a KLPGA event, with most of the notable KLPGA golfers making the coverage. They even complimented Soo Jin Yang's jaunty cap! I especially loved it that two of my faves, Ji Hyun Oh and Jin Young Ko, both seem to be having good weeks. I loved how Oh's all pink ensemble really stood out from everyone else's dark rain gear. Han Sol Ji, Min Sun Kim, Jung Min Lee - lots of golf left to be played, any one of them could be the winner. The Koreans trashed everyone in China and stole their money....I wonder if they regret inviting the KLPGA to co-sanction.
This is another proof that fav's many times are not fav's in golf.
After 36 holes...one would think Jin Young Ko would win.....and Xi Yu Lin didn't even make the cut.
