Time to create a placeholder for this one. It runs Dec. 4 thru 6. The format and teams:

The Queens presented by Kowa is a unique match play tournament featuring four teams of nine players, including a playing captain, from the Ladies European Tour, Ladies Professional Golfers’ Association of Japan, Ladies Korean LPGA and Australian Professional Golf Inc. A total of 34 matches will be played over three days: eight fourball matches on day one, eight foursomes matches on day two and 18 singles matches on day three. Scoring will be through a points system with up to 102 total points available. Each match is worth 3 points to the winning side. If a match ends all square after 18 holes, 1 point will be awarded to each side. The inaugural tournament will take place from 4-6 December at Miyoshi Country Club in Aichi, Japan.

Today's LET press release indicates the Team Korea is being lead by In Gee Chun. I assume that was a marketing decision made by the LET...age is everything in Korea...I can't envision the ROK players choosing the youngest one to be captain, no matter how much she accomplished this year. BML is the oldest.

SBS Golf will carry Saturday's round at 12 Noon and Sunday's round at 11 AM (local times). Numerous replays will follow. The JLPGA website also mentions Sky Sports, Golf Channel France, and Fox Sports.

This is no more a travesty as the Solheim Cup has become.
The LET team is so much weaker than the US Team and nearly won.
Not to mention both teams are much weaker than the KLPGA Team.

It totally makes sense for Bo Mee to be the captain. Yes, In Gee won two Majors in Japan, but Bo Mee is so big there, she is bound to get at least a little love from the hometown crowds. And she understands how to play on those courses better than anyone on the team.

I mean, yes? The Solheim Cup IS a travesty? The only difference is the LPGA and their million dollar marketing team has convinced fans that it actually means something.
