Not my happiest tournament result of the year by any means. Congrats to Cristie on her win, but man, Ha Na Jang just can't catch a break. She played really well today I thought, but Kerr just hadda make that eagle on 17. Sigh. Fourth runner up for Ha Na this year. I have to say, that's a great year by most measures, and she should be proud, but I sure was hoping to see her hoist a trophy at last. Oh well, she has certainly proved she is a fighter with a ton of talent. I could actually feel Inbee's nerves on the last few holes, something you don't see very often from her. She had a real shot at POY, especially once Ko muffed the 18th (by my reckoning, Inbee would have had it had she made those two short putts she missed on the back nine). Fortunately, Inbee did at least walk off with the Vare Trophy and thus made it into the HOF, the second Korean to qualify. My memory was, in 2007, they officially counted Se Ri as entering the Hall after she played ten events, so hopefully Inbee will have the same thing happen next year. Congrats to Ko on the POY award, but count me as someone who thinks Inbee is the real POY this year, and it isn't even close IMO. Not only did she win 2 Majors to Ko's one, her WORST finish in a Major this year was 11th. Ko missed one cut and had another really bad Major at the ANA. Evian: Ko Won, Inbee T8th British: Inbee won, Ko T-3rd US Women's Open: Inbee T3rd, Ko T-12th KPMG: Inbee Won, Ko Missed Cut ANA: Inbee T-11th, Ko T-51st But whatever, Inbee made it into the Hall, and that's fricking AWESOME!!!! WAY TO GO! Just a quick shout out to Jennifer Song, whose T-11th was I believe her best finish of the year. She has had several good results lately. I hope it's a sign of things to come, because JSong once upon a time pledged to give 1/3 of all her golf earnings to charity (you read that correctly). I don't know if she still does that, but she's the kind of player who would be a great asset to the tour if she made it big. And she's a dual citizen to boot (Korean and US), so extra attraction to both sides!

Golf wise, Se Ri, Grace and Super Peanut are irrelevant. Meanwhile, Cristie is still winning. Give the devil her due. Se Ri has 7 more wins than Kerr and I think three more Majors. And she took five fewer years to amass them. Not irrelevant I think!

Why was Jang doing a Gary Player right leg follow-thru with her driver? I was out yesterday and watched the replay later on JTBC Golf...did GC or ABC explain that? The Hulk will definitely pick up a win on the LPGA one day...but, I had the same prediction about Angela Park. It occurs to me that if IBP had stiffed KB Star and played in Taiwan, she'd probably be POY, but she was right to play in Korea that week. Has IBP ever been in a U.S.-based golf commercial? I can't recall any. I've seen G. McDowell and K. Bradley in commercials for the Cleveland/Srixon/XXIO/Dunlop product group, but where's IBP? I don't remember seeing Lydia in any Callaway commercials over here, also. At least the Titleist ball ad has Ryu ("more short game control") and NYC ("even softer feel").

It just stinks that Se Ri lost her game at such a young age and Kerr can still play.

Technically, Inbee needs one more year before she's eligible for the HoF. It's a technicality at this point. 'Congrats, Inbee.

A funny post from WRX....a member thought because Ha Na is so unique and bada*s...that if she won...she'd maybe lift up her caddie in victory.

Looks like the LPGA and KLPGA use the same formula to determine POY. Both very strange.

At the beginning of the broadcast, grandma Judy referred to Kerr as a "journeywoman". I wonder if there was a dust-up between the two in the past.
Cristie is many things, but definitely not a "journeywoman".

Cristie is many things, but definitely not a "journeywoman". A quote from Helen Alfredsson on Kerr....something like ...."She used to be a fat b*tch...now she's a skinny b*tch." Everyone laughed at that, as well as Laura Davies' comments about the US Solheim team...."....Eleven really nice girls and one not so nice."

Believe it or not, Hee Kyung Seo, living up to her nickname, was in one of those Bridgestone commercials. You know one of those in the Pro Shop with Freddie Couples and Lee Trevino. She was one of the customers in the background. And you really need to pause it on your DVR to spot her. Anyone notice in that Titleist commercial when NYC says "even softer feel", the camera shot is actually "soft" (out of focus) . I wonder whether it was intended as a pun to the word "soft". But more likely it was the crappy production of the ad. The light, texture of the shots varies from girl to girl in that commercial. They even managed to bring out the household names of Dori Carter and Lewis ( Amelia, that is ).

So they filmed several versions at the same time for that one.
