Once the final event of the KLPGA season, the past couple of years it has been the penultimate event instead. This is the 11th year for this event. Defending champion is Yoo Rim Choi, who is featured on the poster, as again is the tradition. Na Yeon Choi made her first big splash here in 2004 when the teenager beat world star Se Ri Pak head-to-head. Se Ri will be featured in this year's field! It takes place at Lotte Sky Hill GimHae Country Club, about twenty km west of Busan in the South. Event runs from November 7th - 9th!

So stoked to hear Se Ri is playing. I just hope she's not rushing anything...I really want her to be at 100% rather than playing semi-hurt like she has been most of this year.
I also agree wtih mr3putt - I don't understand how out of all the Korean girls, Se Ri seems to go sponsor-less the most. Please name one Korean player, male or female, that moves the golf needle as much as she does. Companies have to realize that and just her name itself would draw attention. Completely miffed at that one.

Se Ri is expensive; that's why it's harder for her to get sponsorships than the average Korean golfer. Here is a promotional contest featuring Se Ri, Kyu Jung Baek and defending champ Yoo Rim Choi hitting shots off a boat. They did the same thing last year with NYC IIRC. Se Ri Kyu Jung Yoo Rim

SBS Golf will start its live broadcast at 9 PM EST tonight. With a field of 67, I assume there's no cut.

Yeah, I don't see Se Ri's lack of sponsorship as a bad thing. I'm glad she's not sponsored by one of those weird Korean companies that have strange English phrases on sweaters, like the "Get In The Hole" one, or the other one that just randomly says "Smile!"

I am a little out of the loop. Can anyone update me on what clubs Se Ri is using? Thanks.

Completely miffed at that one. Considering Se Ri single-handily made S. Korea golf crazy (I'm not sure if KJ Choi brought the attention to golf that Se Ri enabled)....it really is a shame that she doesn't have a couple of sponsors on her hat. Annika and Lorena have been retired for years....yet I'm pretty sure..... you'll see them still branding their long term sponsors of Callaway/Lexus/Cutter Buck and Ping/Lacoste. respectively....just to name a few endorsements. Even Grace seemed sponsorless at the Hana last year. Yet, KLPGA and even screen golfers look like NASCAR drivers. I just don't get it. Se Ri needs a better agent.

First of all.... WHO-WHAAAA? Se Ri is playing? I thought she was hurt and shut down for the year??!!! This means that since the US Open, Magic Princess has played as many KLPGA events as LPGA events. That's not going to get her on the Olympic Team. I've been told by a reliable source, sponsors want to sponsor the young Korean players. It's not about Se Ri ( although, WTF !!! How can that be?? ), or that Se Ri is pricey ( WORTH IT !!! ) Nike seems to want players that look like Grace and Shelly, i would argue that The Queen holds her own in the looks department. She for sure clobbers the others in the MAJORS department. And if the golf market in Asia is the growth market?..... c'mon, It's gotta be Se Ri !!! And i don't think she is sponsorless. the plain hat started at "The Se Ri". This may be a conflict between her OLD bank sponsor and her NEW bank sponsor. There are logos on her shirt, and i think i saw a Dennis logo on the pants. I remember the bad old days when she WAS sponsorless ( after CJ ) and wore a plain white hat. That year I wore a plain white hat to the Kraft to show solidarity. And the last time i was in range to look, she was playing TaylorMade.

Se Ri might be expensive, but other golfers are expensive too. e.g.) Rory didn't have a blank hat when he moved away from Titleist.....The Dark Side seemed more that happy to pay him $220M (10 year contract). That a lot of clubs, balls, shoes and golf apparel just to break even.
Se Ri's agent knows the details of her sponsorships and contract term/renewal options....they should be constantly making sales calls to potential sponsors to keep the funnel wide and deep for future endorsement opportunities.

Even Grace seemed sponsorless at the Hana last year. Se Ri needs a better agent. errr.... Grace was long retired at last years Hana. Retired golfers don't get much sponsor love. I think Se Ri is with IMG, they are a top firm. I'm not sure they are to blame.

I am a little out of the loop. Can anyone update me on what clubs Se Ri is using? Thanks. I believe Se Ri was last sporting a Caido staff bag and there's a picture on the internet that shows a Caido logo on the back of her back at the 2014 Lotte. At this event there's also a picture of Se Ri using a Callaway XHot2 driver......wouldn't be surprised that she has a mixed bag of clubs...including Caido and TM too. I've seen some LPGA pros using an OEM's staff bag full of a competitors clubs.

Se Ri is not with IMG....she's with Young E Yang....is this the same Y.E. Yang.....2009 PGA Champ who took down Eldrick?......hmmmmmmm....maybe he should just stick to golf and not act an agent.....lol click to the player's agent link on the below to obtain a PDF on player's agent contacts www.lpga.com/corporate/ladies-golf/contact-us.aspx
