A source close to the situation ( journalist speak ) told me that the Caido deal is for the BAG ONLY. I have never seen her use a Caido club.
That info is more than a year old though.

Se Ri is not with IMG....she's with Young E Yang....is this the same Y.E. Yang.....2009 PGA Champ who took down Eldrick?......hmmmmmmm....maybe he should just stick to golf and not act an agent.....lol Annika, Lorena and Gracie. Yep ... exactly the same careers. As usual, fine logic by Mr 3. Annika is the GOAT, she will be sponsored for the rest of her life. and NO, it's not the same Y.E. Yang that Se Ri CRUSHED when she played the first two days with him in the men's event in Korea.

Not surprised at all, as per my previous post. I think Jodi Ewart had a bag full of Titleist clubs in an Adams staff bag. I think Honma owes Se Ri a sweet endorsement. There are many Korean golfers here and it seems like Honma is their stick of choice. I just played with 2 Korean ladies on Tuesday.,..one had some really sweet Honma's...they looked relatively new....I would not doubt they were maybe $3000-$5000. I think I said this before.....I saw that the Golftown in Richmond. BC was selling a set of Maruman clubs for $79,995.00...the sales tax alone is $9,600.00....LOL I also enjoy seeing many ladies sport some crazy golf bags from S. Korea with what seems like cartoon characters. Also played with a Korean guy about 2 weeks ago...he was playing the Japanese Titleist VG3's....very nice looking GI irons. I also find balls that I think are junk balls...only to find out the are balls from the Pac Rim....e.g. Newing, Altus. Another thing that seems common among the Korean ladies......they always have food in their bag and always offer it to their playing partners...including strangers.

So, I know that Se Ri does have some small sponsorships - that would be Caido for her bag, Dennis for her clothing, etc. A few years back, this would also include the Onda D'Oro (a small wine company) that sponsored her on her clothes. However, I still don't understand how she can go without a major sponsor. Am I missing something? Se Ri is a huge name, but that doesn't mean that she is expensive, per se. She had such a hard time getting a main sponsor before her KDB deal I doubt that she would be saying, "This is my price and unless you give that to me I'm not signing with you!" I mean, doesn't the sponsor have the main negotiating power here? They're the ones forking over money to pay for her travel and other fees, so I don't think the player would be the one demanding $$$, no? I mean, CJ is a big sponsor but I doubt they forked over Samsung-like numbers when they had Se Ri for a few years. And btw, I loved when she was sponsored by CJ. Their logo on her clothes was real spiffy and matched well with Ae-Ri's designer duds.

And btw, I loved when she was sponsored by CJ. Their logo on her clothes was real spiffy and matched well with Ae-Ri's designer duds. Clearly our man rayj is a Se Ri insider. So i know he meant to say Yu-Ri designer duds . Unfortunately, Ae-Ri is now the only one wearing Yu Ri Pak clothes at events. And they still look great. I always thought that was the best Se Ri ever looked "fashion wise". Yu Ri's stuff looked awesome, and made Se Ri look great. Is it time for Project Runway yet? ( it is thursday ) Speaking of, i might be watching Runway because it looks like our SBS link is dead. It's asking me to login. and don't call me a "girl" for watching Project Runway. If you do, Ted Bishop will demand you be fired.

Try this link for SBS Golf ChannelI distinctly remember reading an article a couple of years ago about how Se Ri asks for a lot of money because she's a legend, and is willing to wait until someone gives it to her rather than sign a cheap deal with someone. I was reading a really interesting article about the KLPGA online this morning. They talked about how much money the KLPGA golfers mean to the various golf apparel companies. Apparently the week after a tournament, the clothes makers usually have a run on several of the styles that have been showcased the week before. The article in particular called out Pearly Gates and Soo Jin Yang. Apparently they have had a 155% increase over last year's business, and Yang's designs have been very popular with the public. But she's not alone. Shin Ae Ahn has had a big positive effect for Adidas, and Chae Young Yoon, Ha Neul Kim and Yoon Kyung Heo also move the needle. As well, they said that a jacket In Gee Chun wore at a recent event was another popular item the following week. Even Inbee Park, not a conventional fashionista, has had a noticeable effect on golf apparel sales in Korea. Reading between the lines, it sounds like the women are as valuable for their ability to move clothing as golf equipment. And it is why these ladies are literally worth their weight in gold for these companies.

She shot a 7 under par 65 to take a share of the lead with little-known Bo A Kim. Heo's round included an eagle on the final hole, a par 5. Alone in third is Min Sun Kim. The rookie star shot a 67 and is still looking for her first career win. Among those tied for fourth are In Gee Chun, Min Young Lee and Sei Young Kim. Soo Jin Yang shot a 69. Ha Neul Kim and Hyo Joo Kim are among those taking the week off. In the rookie race, Jin Young Ko shot a 71 while paired with Se Ri Pak. Kyu Jung Baek is slightly ahead of her following a 70. Round 2: Heo Takes ControlYoon Kyung Heo started the day tied for the lead, and played essentially just as well on Saturday as she did on Friday. As a result, she shot a 66 to move to 13 under and a three shot cushion. First round co-leader Bo A Kim shot a 69 to move to 10 under and solo second. (Bo A with Min Sun Kim) One of the best rounds of the day was posted by Chae Young Yoon, who shot a 66 to vault into a tie for third at 9 under. She is tied with rookie Min Sun Kim. (Chae Young Yoon compares wild outfits, and ball markings, with Soo Jin Yang) Min Sun Kim Kyu Jung Baek shot a 67 and is at 7 under. Her rookie rival Jin Young Ko, meanwhile, shot a 74 to sink well behind her. If Baek finishes with this margin over Ko she might be able to grab the ROY - assuming Min Sun Kim does not win and throw a wrench in that plan! Se Ri Pak shot a 70 and is at 2 under total. In Gee Chun ended her day with three straight birdies to climb to 5 under, eight back. One more day! Scores: 1. Yoon Kyung Heo 67 -13 2. Bo A Kim 69 -10 3. Chae Young Yoon 66 -9 - Min Sun Kim 5 (R) 68 -9 5. Sei Young Kim 68 -8 Notables: 6. Kyu Jung Baek (R) 67 -7 10. In Gee Chun 71 -5 - Min Young Lee 2 71 -5 15. Jung Min Lee 69 -4 21. Ji Hee Kim 72 -2 - Se Ri Pak 70 -2
- Je Yoon Yang 69 -2 - Hye Youn Kim 73 -2 29. Ran Hong 73 -1 - Shi Hyun Ahn 70 -1 35. Ha Na Jang 72 Even - Soo Jin Yang 75 Even 42. Jin Young Ko (R) 74 +1 - Char Young Kim 73 +1 48. Kyeong Bae 72 +2 60. Da Na Kim 75 +5 64. Shin Ae Ahn 73 +7

Looking at the picture of Joo Young Park...I've got to believe Kylie, HYP's caddie, will loop for JYP at Q school with The Rocket cheering her on.
